This miter clamps has teeth that grab the wood and pull it tight. These teeth leave a pretty good indention in the edge of the wood.

Black sharpie used to hide all the scratches on the finish
I ordered 4 of these and the black finish appears to be scratched in many places. They used a black sharpie to try and hide it. That's the quality for $70 each. No finish at all would've been better than having to look at that every time I go to use one. They did arrive quickly... and they function.

Works really well. These have improved my miter glue up by leaps and bounds. Clam style clamps in general will leave 4 small, but visible 1/8 inch holes on each side of the miter. It's not a big deal for work that will be painted. Update: 07/07/23 Someone in the review section mentioned a scratch on the clamp itself. What are they going to frame the clamps, or use them. I would give these clamps 5 star everyday. I'm still using my clamps and I love 'em.
