Very pleased with the result
The Texture 12 window film was perfect for blocking the view of our neighbor's trash cans and our A/C unit from our bathroom window. Now I can leave the curtains pulled back and let in the light without having to worry about the ugly scenery. It was fairly simple to apply, but I would suggest reading the enclosed instructions first. I cleaned the window very carefully, including scraping away any paint or caulk smears. You deflinitely need to peel the paper backing off the film without getting it wet - make sure your hands are dry as well. You can reposition the film until you get it just right. The directions do instruct you to cut the film to leave 1/8" border between the film and the edge of the window. I agree with this. The Texture 12 is a very thick film and I tried cutting it slightly larger than the glass and then trimming it as others suggested - it was so thick and tough that I couldn't get a clean cut even with a new X-acto blade. I finally had to take the film off and carefully trim it with scissors. I definitely suggest you follow the company's printed instructions or watch the video on their website. One other tip: They do include a squeegee - it's tucked inside the tube of film. I didn't find it until after I'd already used a different one. Also suggest you apply the film when it's dark outside - I didn't see any bubbles when I applied the film in the daylight, but a lot showed up after it was dark and the streetlights were shining in from outside - these were easily fixed by spraying the soapy water mixture on the outside of the film and using the included squeegee to push the bubbles to the edges. You can also peel the film up, respray and then squeegee it back in place. Even with all that, I had the window done in less than an hour and plenty of film left to do another one. Once done, the window looks like real textured glass.

Lasted over 2 years, looked natural
Applied this on a cut glass door and sidelights and bathroom window. Worked great on all, obscured view on door and looked so natural on the cut glass. I even made an error, cut it too short in one area and had to put two pieces together. Even with the two pieces, it was difficult to detect and error, because the film aligned so well. It still allowed sufficient light during the day.The size sheets were great and it was easy to cut with a utility knife, maybe because it's a bit thicker than some of the other brands I have used. It's also very forgiving, so if you need to move it, just spray the liquid (I heard soapy water works also); place it and then just smooth it with the tool. I bought the kit and liked using the yellow smoothing tool more than the squeegee, but either work well. I found the squeegee works better if you spray liquid on top of the film when smoothing in place. The flat yellow tool works well for tucking the film into corners and also running it along the edges as you trim, if the film was cut s a bit wider than your space. Again, great product, easy to work with, great for first timer. Love it!

Easy to Install, provides decent visual deterent
Got this product 2 days after I ordered it, not bad. I read a bunch of reviews before installing thes films on my windows and heeded the advice to make sure I first cleaned the window really well and then had plenty of water (with a little bit of liquid soap) on the window when I put it up. It was a snap to put on the window and I easily did it by myself. Once on the window, the bubbles were easy to get out with the included "squeegy". Provides enough visual deterent where someone on the other side of the window would only be able to see very blurry figures inside as this still allows the light in quite well.1 Word of caution, do not get the paper backing on the film wet before removing from film as it will adhere to the film and is a real pain to get off. I had a tinie little drop on one spot and it took me a little elbow grease just to get that little spot of transferred paper off the film, I'm thankful it was only a very small spot!

Worth it
This was better than I expected. It's fairly thick and was easy to apply. Also easy to reposition if necessary. I placed it on a long double glass French door by myself and didn't curse a single time! Seriously though, make sure you have a small handheld squeegee or something similar for pushing out any air bubbles. It worked like a charm. Would definitely buy again.
