Good quality. Good color lay down. Especially pleased with how resistant to breaks they are.

Nice light blue that is easily erased with a good quality eraser on sketch pad paper and vellum drawing boards. My only complaint is that it is a bit soft. I am a fairly large human, and do struggle with not applying too much pressure; that being said, it still breaks more easily than ordinary leads used in identical mechanical pencils. I wish they made this in 0.9mm thickness...I'd order in a heartbeat. Still, I use these often, I just go a package quicker, but maybe that's by design. I would recommend these leads.

I also bought the set of 7 colors of lead in 0.5. I find the blue(especially in 0.7) to be quite usable and the red in 0.5 to be somewhat usable, while the other colors in 0.5 are Imo not dark enough to be usable. I tried writing with excessive pressure with the other colors, and could not get dark enough writing. Using extra pressure the other leads broke, using a Delguard pencil which is designed to minimize lead breakage. The blue lead also seems to be stronger than the other colors. Of course the leads in 0.7 are much more resistant to breakage than in 0.5, however going with 0.7 doesn't do that much to increase the darkness of the writing) even though one can write with greater pressure without breaking the lead using 0.7 leads instead of 0.5. So my advice is that the blue lead in 0.7 is worth buying, and the red in 0.7 might be worth buying( I only tried the red in 0.5) however I won't buy the other colors again, especially in 0.5. The funny thing about using the blue is that it looks very much like writing using a blue pen. I started out many years ago buying mostly 0.5 pencils, and now I buy mostly 0.7 pencils. I would buy only 0.7 and 0.9 pencils except that certain pencils available in 0.5 are not available in 0.7 or 0.9.
