I bought the wrong kind. I thought the difference between kid's and adult's was the number of bands. Since I was replacing laces on Chukka type boots, I figured I didn't need so many. But I suspect the length of the bands vary between adult and child as well. They certainly varied on the card. As it turned out, that didn't matter for me. I wear a 10.5 D. Kids must be gigantic these days.Second: What I did… I put on my shoes, tied my laces and measured the distance between the eyelets. My shoe laces went from longer at the bottom to shorter at the top (opposite to the way the laces are shown on the card). I installed them to match the length of my laces. They were not that hard to install. The first one was very hard because I read that thing by the woman with pliers. The second one not so hard. And the rest as easy as pie. The key is several short tugs instead of trying to do one long pull. The silicon will keep the band from slipping back through the eyelet. You just grip the band between finger and thumb against the back of the eyelet and make a short tug. Let go and repeat. Pops through in 4 or 5 tugs.Finally: How it felt… There were complaints about them being too tight so when I first tried them, I was worrying about that. In fact I compared a shoe with strings on one foot with the banded shoe on the other. I noticed that the band pressure on my foot felt like it was at the eyelets, instead of across the top of my foot. I was afraid that might be an issue. As it turns out, the bands give and are actually more comfortable than strings and look really good. The only time I think about them is when I'm putting shoes on or off. It is just so much easier. Once people start using these, strings will go the way of high button shoes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for Kids who refuse to tie their shoes *by K***3 on December 17, 2015* My 6 year old knows how to tie his shoes, he just doesn't so instead of fighting him on it with his school shoes I replaced the laces with these. It has helped me keep my sanity from asking him every 5 minutes to tie his shoes. His teacher are equally glad that he is not tripping over untied laces anymore. I wouldn't recommend these for sports type shoes like shoes intended for running, soccer, or other sports. He has them on his every day recess playing new balance shoes and they work perfectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love these and so does my kid *by E***R on December 12, 2016* I love these and so does my kid. Not having to worry about tying there shoes is just great. Make any shoe into a slip on. From a distance they look just like normal shoe laces. Just great and will be buying more of these.
