No you can not wire 2 4ohm dvc subs down to 2 ohm. You Can get 1 ohm 4 ohm or 8 ohm

Q: Whats the differences between 2 omhs and 4 ohms?

DVC dual voice coils 4 ohm DVC = 2 ohm in parallel or 8 ohm series 2 ohm DVC = 1 ohm in parallel or 4 ohm series Parallel is pos to pos (+ to +) neg to neg (- to -) If you have a mono block amp that can handle 1 ohm you could run one 2 ohm DVC or two 4 ohm DVC PAIR Two DVC subwoofers, the subs will have two sets of pos/negative terminals or wire depending on manufacturer. The ohm rating of the VC Voice Coils has little to do with how powerful the subwoofer is however, SVC single voice coil subs generally aren't as loud and for the most part have disappeared in Car Audio (yes you can find them but nobody runs SVC subs anymore) Be careful with the information you get on Amazon as MECP "Mobile Electronic Professional" techs don't hang out here. You'll likely get bad information based on someone who thinks they know what their talking about I was MECP certified from 1995-2001 and no not at Best Buy. Some FREE advice, Best Buy hires people off the street. They take the test in house, that means everyone passes and they learn as they go. Would you want your heart transplant done by a student or someone who has experience under their belt I only say this because you can do the job just by reading up on what you need to know. PS: Biggest problem in DIY installs Bad ground, not securing or choosing a better location Wrong guage wire, not using 4g, 2g or even 0g wire for a 7000w amp Not using a second battery with a large cap to support large amps Not isolating the 2nd battery from the charging system Nor running the amp strictly off the 2nd batter with a battery isolated in line so the amp doesn't drain your battery. A battery isolator goes in between the main battery 12v and 2nd battery. It doesn't allow voltage from the main battery unless the ignition is to the run position, which by design is meant so you have to start the vehicle in order for it to pull power from the main battery/Alternator etc
