beginner/starter hookah
from looking at some other reviews, this hookah seems to be hit or miss with quality. it either seems to arrive broken, looking used, or generally good. i'm a prime member, so i figured that i wouldn't need to worry too much about it breaking during shipping, and if it was DOA, thered be no problem returning it. in my case, everything arrived intact! it came disassembled in the case, and all I did was give it a rinse. the only thing that arrived broken was a wood divider inside the case. for $30, i'm pleased with the quality. i wanted to get into hookah, and this didn't disappoint. most name brand hookah's, specifically budget models tend to start around $50 at a shorter height. i knew what i was paying for with this. it's made in china. the parts are all generally of at least passable quality. the weak point are the hoses, which look and feel the cheapest. but they work. all the parts are functional, and i'm pleased with what i recieved. there are ball bearings in the hose ports to create seals. you should remove these to dry seoarately after washing to avoid rusting. this comes with a port cap if you're smoking alone and only need one hose. the bowl is very small, and doesnt hold a lot, but it holds enough. the tongs are cheap, but you can bend them to work better. don't even think about using the poker that comes with the tongs. it's dull, and it pokes big holes. overall, i'm pleased. if you're willing to take a chance with this, and maybe replace some parts later on, i reccomend it. just understand that it is cheap, and it's made in china. the quality is okay, but it's only $30.

thumbs up!
Saw this hookah bundle, looked alright. Mine had gone its course so I decided to try this one out. Received it quickly by FBA, packaging by Amazon was OK. Overall, the hookah looks nice. The design is clean and elegant. There was an instruction sheet inside but I didn't even need it because it was so easy. On the backside of the instructions is support information from the maker. The base of the shisha bowl was chipped unfortunately, enough where it didn't completely seal with the top of the hookah with the grommet. I got in touch with the maker using the contact sheet that came with the hookah and they were very helpful and got me a new bowl shipped within a couple days. Fortunately I had a spare bowl so I got to test it right away. The hookah hits pretty well and I definitely can't complain for $30. I'd recommend this to anyone who is new to or experienced with hookahs. Good luck!

Great hookah, hose problem is an easy fix
Had this hookah for a week or two now and I am very happy with it. The hoses are a regular length so don't expect to get a huge range from them. Also I saw many people talking about how one of the hoses wouldn't work and I noticed this problem as well. After some tinkering and investigation I found the problem is not the hose but the bearing used to seal the airway when someone is smoking the other hose. For some reason the bearing won't come lose to allow proper air flow through the hose. Quick fix was to take out the bearing, use the hose on that side and put the end cap on the other side with the working bearing (giving you a single hose that you can still purge). If you do still want the 2 hose set up, the person with the no bearing hose will have to cover the tip when the other is drawing smoke to create a proper seal. In my opinion not a huge hassle especially considering what you are paying. Very happy I bought this hookah.

Decent for the price.
I am unsure as to whether it is an issue with the product, or the stock from the particular seller I purchased it from and the way it was stored, but the rivits on the case were rusted, even with 5-6 silica packets inside. The hookah itself is mostly blemish free, but there was a slight bit of corrosion on some of the parts. It is clear to me that the one I received was either in stock for a very long time, or not kept in the most dry conditions, or it is an issue with this particular model. Hookah Quality: 3/5 stars. The hoses in particular are pretty cheap and are shorter than I was hoping. Overall the hoses are functional and seal well. The ball-bearing stop valves work great and don't require extra inhale effort like some other hookahs. Both hoses initially had a plastic taste that I either got used to or went away after one or two uses. The wood used for the handles is also cheap but functional. The hookah itself, fits together well and is easy to assemble/disassemble. The parts its made of are on the cheap side, but not terrible and do look like they will hold up to some moderate use. Anyone serious about Hookah should probably stay away as this is not a main-use pipe, but for the occasional or rare use, it will get the job done. The bowl is a bit on the small side and I would say fits about 12g or so of shisha with enough room to breathe. There are 5 unevenly spaced and fairly large holes in the bowl. The vase at the bottom is a good size and shape, though I would have liked to see a wider base used. With the hight of the hookah, even on a flat table, I still get nervous that it may topple over if I bump the table or get the hose caught which could be quite dangerous with a hot coal on top! Case Quality: 1/5 stars. The case is almost useless and is extremely cheap. There is one interior divider that was broken in my case. The outer paint is actually just a blue vinyl sticker that is bubbling off and as stated earlier, any rivits used to bind the case are all rusted. It is a sad excuse for a case, but I suppose as a means to simply store the hookah, it's not useless. Overall, this product is decent for the price. I don't think anyone could expect to get a high quality pipe for $30-ish dollars. For the occasional or light use, it gets the job done and was designed to be functional and not a simple decoration. All of this considered, I think 4-stars is fair.
