Special Edition truly for the biggest Payne lovers.
I bought this game on sale luckily. The game itself is great. Graphics are great with a really smooth game play. But I really don't think I would have paid full price when this edition first dropped. The Max Payne figure is really neat and all. So for the sale price I paid it was well worth it. Also if you are into your achievements do not put this on auto aim. Play this game on free aim. I Beat the game on hardest with auto aim on and only got a few achievements.

Love all things Max
Love all things Max. Wanted this for a while so when I found it at this price I grabbed it. I have all the bits already but it is nice to have them all in one place. If you are a fan it is a great edition including a statue (not 100% Max but close enough and good quality), posters, music, a key chain and the game. I may be mature in years but I love my video games and getting this turned me into a kid on Christmas morning

one of the best 3rd person shooters (story mode)
The physicals in this game is top notch , the way max holds and runs with his guns has not been done this realist before. The story and world is also really detailed. 2 problems I have with this game MP sucks , and long loading times in the story mode.MP sucks because its not balance , The hold game you can use one over power gun . I dont even no why mp added other guns because once you get the mini 90 you wont need any other gun.

Max Payne Lives onece again.
I remember when Max Payne came out on the PS2 and was bummed about it because I had a xbox at the time and when they did released it on the original xbox I was like "yes about time". Soon after the sequel to the first one came came out my brother got it he finished it first because he bought it and then I did later. I remember it being ok because the story of Max Payne II was I thought not all that interesting fun game but lacked in the story. Now that Max Payne 3 came out last month I love every minute of it good story I thought a really fun game and a very good soundtrack as well. I do not like multiplayer at all and I have tried it too I recommend play with friends other wise it is a good single player game.

Game is Great! special edition is Worthless!!!
Save yourself an extra forty bucks. OK the only cool thing about the Special edition would have been the figure, Had it not been painted with hi-gloss enamel it might not have looked so much like a ken doll :/ its cheap looking and ugly. I wont even display this thing. so it sits in a box in the corner reminding me what a wast of money it was.

Dissapointed
I had been waiting for the Max Payne III videogame to be released for probably a decade. The previous two games were spectacular, with better dialog and story development than most movies and novels. Sam Lake from Remedy did an outstanding job with both games. Whoever wrote the third installment butchered the very thing that made the Max Payne series alluring and addictive. It was monologues such as the following that left me in awe of Max Payne II:“All this time we got the fable of Sleeping Beauty wrong. The prince didn't kiss her to wake her up. No one who slept for a hundred years is likely to wake up. It was the other way round. He kisses her to wake himself up from the nightmare that has brought him there.”Then Max Payne III came, and all we were given was monologues including the following:“I'd killed more cops than cholesterol and still no sign of Becker. It wasn't the first time it dawned on me I should probably have gone over the plan in more detail, but it was too late for that now.”I personally could not get passed the ill written part of the game. I played through it, and all I could think about was how much better it would have been if Sam Lake had written it, and if the Remedy team were involved in the production. I have no plans of playing this game again--cannot say the same for Max Payne I & II.The Special Edition of the videogame is mediocre. The statue included is quite lousy. I like the idea of it, but the execution (especially the face) is lacking. The lithograph’s are pretty cool and I like the bullet key-chain. I bought it for pretty cheap, so I’m not that upset about it. I think I would have been pissed if I’d paid over $40 for it.I had such high hopes for this game. It just goes to show that there are certain games that only certain developers are able to execute perfectly.

Above average single player, but very short
This is just as good if not better than the original games.Pros : Great graphics, and cool way of storytelling. Game mechanics are fun.Cons : Little to much story, gameplay is rather short Unless you are into multiplayer. Not a failure, Little above average.

Addicted like Payne to Pain Killers
It's a great game with awesome graphics and an good storyline. It comes with a key chain, a maxpayne figurine, and some documentation on Max himself. Worth it to the collector. Back in the box the items go. The game will be played on and on. I know it may not be helpful but for hints and gameplay, pick one up yourself. You wont regret it, another Rockstar Hit.

Awesome
This game is awesome, it has great gameplay, a great story and the limited edition comes with awesome stuff! Only thing that sucks is at times ammo and painkillers are very limited and you tend to get pinned down. Other then that its great and totally worth it!
