Due to a change in design, I was informed stretching would be minimal. They fit perfectly, toes touched front but did not curl. I had read they had a killer break in period, so the blisters I got were no shock.After a week they are unwearable for me. They slip off the back of my feet, and rub against my heels, my toes no longer touch the front. I’ve worn them outside and treated them with conditioner per website instructions, so there is no exchanging these, and I can’t afford another pair. So I’ll have to try and sell them for way less than I paid or stuff them, or put two heel inserts in them which defeats the purpose of having light comfortable shoes.Another observation is the quality of leather. It is not the same as I’ve had a chance to see, touch and wear an older pair that was their original design. I was shocked by the massive discrepancy in quality of leather. The older version had soft, obviously pebbled and thicker leather, that is very comfortable even prior to breaking in. The newer version I have is smooth, stiff and thin leather with no visible pebbled texture. I considered bringing my new pair to a cobbler to determine whether they could be made to fit better, but after seeing their older version, I’m not certain it’s worth it.It’s a bummer, I’ve never owned a pair and waited patiently until I was able to purchase, thinking it would be a good investment, but it has been a total loss.On that note, I have sent in an honest inquiry regarding the discrepancy in leather quality and genuinely would like to know what, aside from the stated design features, has changed because the differences are drastic. I will add information to this review as it is received.The moral of the story: I accept the risk as a consumer buying a product online. I did my homework, and was thorough in my research. I spoke with a Nisolo representative, I did everything right, but sometimes it still doesn’t work out, there are no guarantees, I fully understand that and don’t blame Nisolo as they seem to be a decent company. I only seek to inform Nisolo, as well as potential buyers of two things:1. These still stretch enough that sizing up one half size may not be necessary ( I have average to wide feet and they stretched beyond being wearable if that helps).Number 2: There is undoubtedly a change in the leather quality, as the description states it is “soft pebbled leather” and mine is nothing of the sort. It is stiff and smooth. I even confirmed with a representative at Nisolo via their website, that what they were selling on Amazon was indeed “Nisolo” and that these were the same as those being sold via their website. That was affirmed by Nisolo beyond doubt as I sent an inquiry through amazon and then later was contacted via their website. These are not “fake”, but they don't match their description either, not remotely.Potential buyers would be wise to consider both these factors prior to purchasing an expensive pair of shoes that can neither be worn nor exchanged. ### ⭐⭐ Shipping costs are too much and they’re not comfy at all *by K***N on April 16, 2019* Very uncomfortable.Scratchy leather and tight even on my narrow feet. Apparently you can get a new version on their site with lined leather. These are the old style. Paid $5 to get them and $9 to send back!
