If You Give a Mouse a Cookie 12” Dancing & Talking Mouse, by Just Play

I bought this for my 2 year old grandson because the book was a favorite of his Dad’s when he was little. They are having so much fun playing with it together. It doesn’t get any better! It was worth every penny to allow my son to share one of his favorite childhood stories with his son and make it interactive.

It wiggles, it talks and sings, it's super cute. But it definitely seems over priced. The cookie velcrows to his hand or fits in his pocket.

The toy is cute and works as it should! I love that it talks when you put the cookie in its hand, even though you have to be accurate to do so, it has a front pocket to store it, and that there's an alternate way to make it talk (by pressing the button on its chest above the pocket).However, there are a few errors with the design that I did not like seeing. There's a small hole found on the back if its head, the fabric on the back of one of its feet wasn't closed completely, and on the front of the other foot, there was an extra line of black thread that was wrongly connected from the front of the foot to the ankle. I was able to cleanly trim it off myself. Although these are small visual problems and plushies, in general, can be very hard to make perfectly, there can't be mistakes like these. They actually almost made me want to give it 4 stars.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie was my sons (and my) favorite story. That was 20 years ago. Now I can’t wait to read it to his daughter! This Mouse is adorable! Small children will need help using and keeping track of the 2 inch cookie required to activate the toy. Also, it’s definitely not a snuggly toy you’d cuddle in bed with. It’s very hard and rigid. It is really cute, works great when singing and dancing. I do recommend it for 3-4 and up. Or maybe if you’re like me, it just brings back wonderful memories.

We love the show! Cannot wait for new season! The mouse doll is cute but just okay. He only says a few things and more than anything just plays the theme song over and over... The character on the show has so many sweet phrases ... the doll just could have been so much better. Unfortunately there is limited merchandise for the show right now. With that said the mouse is worth buying if your child loves the show as much as we do. If you buy your child a mouse, what do you think will happen next?

Okay so this was my favorite book as a kid. I didn't realize until I bought this for my daughter for her first birthday that Amazon had a show as well. So I.. I mean she watches it all the time now.It's fairly hard for her to push the button yet. You can also get it to work using the cookie but she seems to just push or pull it over when she tries. I'm sure she's a little young. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because when it starts singing the theme song my daughter gets so excited and dances just like the mouse. Now she had those moves before we got the mouse but it's just too fun watching them dance together.

I gave mouse as a gift for my grandsons second birthday. He is obsessed with the show "Give a mouse a cookie" so I thought what better gift. At first Houston was very skeptical, he really didn't know if he wanted to touch it. He walked around mouse taking him in, touching him with his little finger on Mouses face, listening to mouse talk with his eyes wide open. Houston was taking mouse all in! It was a sight to remember! Melt my heart! Then it was on! He loves his mouse!!

This toy was great for kids who like if you give a mouse a cookie. The only thing I didn’t love about it is the functionality of it. It’s hard to get it to talk. I don’t know if it’s touch activated or if you actually have to press a button, or if the cookie has to be attached to the hand. It works well and sounds good when it turns on though!
