BALLARINIFirenze, Non-Stick Wok with Handle, Round, Aluminium, Anthracite, 24 cm

As 24cm non-stick woks are hard to find (there are dozens more suppliers of 28cm woks than 24cm) bought this when it was available on Amazon.Usually I have two woks kept new, ready to be used in the attic because none have lasted more than months at the hands of my partner. At one time I was informed by "Home Economist" who tests these things that non-stick saucepans are only meant to be used at no more than medium heat (so guess that's why they don't last more than 9 months at a time).Looks ok but am not impressed in any way. The Aluminium is thinner than almost all similar purchases. There is no curl of the lip. This has one advantage and one disadvantage as compared to other woks. Bear in mind this does not come with dedicated lid, I am using lids from woks of the past. Woks such as Judge (also purchased on Amazon) is easy to use a lid as the lip is curled. Now, the advantage of not having the lip curled (folded) over is that the overall diameter of the wok is smaller and therefore takes up less real-estate on the hob (which is one reason for using a 24cm work as opposed to a 28cm wok in the first place).The surface is not "stone" and looks no different than the usual non-stick saucepans therefore do not expect this to last much longer than 9 months either (using about 4 mights our of 7 every week).

Have used it only a couple of times, but quite pleased with the quality. Size is perfect for 2-3 people. Good for making curries, stir fry dishes and noodles.
