I bought one of these to go with my koblenz pfk-400 victoria 4-burner, it seems to leak gas at tank connections, do i need pipe thread tape?

No tape or pipe dope is needed. Chances are it is a small crack on the plastic threaded part. That is what happened to mine. It finally broke all the way. But with a small crack it will not seal. We got what we paid for. I went to the hardware store and boight a good one for $30.
