Good pocket thermometer
The Amazon photo does not show the correct thermometer. I purchased it using the model number B60570-2100 in the description. This is a 20-120F range pocket thermometer with about a 6-5/8" aluminum tube that it stores inside of. Unscrewing the tube to remove the thermometer is slightly annoying. I've bought two of these now and both are right on at 32F in an ice bath. These work very well for checking water temps while fishing which is the sole purpose I bought them. The 1 degree increments are great and easy to read. Getting a temp is quick, usually within 20 seconds. It's amazing how inaccurate most pocket thermometers are that I've purchased over the years. Finally for the first time in my life I have an accurate thermometer. Great buy at around $26.I recently ordered a third thermometer B60570-2100. That specific manufacturer number is supposed to be a glass thermometer that you unscrew and remove from a closed metal case. The first two I bought were correct and the third one I just reordered is a glass thermometer in an aluminum duplex case. So they still have the wrong main photo for this product and now has some thermometers that are labeled wrong on the packaging. Unless they now decided to use the model number on a different product without updating their website.I was looking at the manufacturer website again and they have both the B60570-1600 and B60750-2100 listed as "closed metal case". Neither of these is listed under "aluminum duplex case". They are getting them mixed up when they are selling them which I why I received two of one and one of the other when ordering model B60570-2100. The closed metal case is what I wanted and received the duplex case this time around. Pretty frustrating.I purchased a fourth thermometer listed as B60570-1600 listed as closed metal case. It was exactly the same as the first two I bought. This one is off by one degree in an ice bath, reads 33F degrees. Still much closer than all the other brands of inexpensive pocket thermometers I've bought in the past.

Garbage Thermometers
Thermometers arrived with bubbles in the liquid, rendering them completely useless right out of the package.

Photos are not accurate, but description is.
Other reviewers have stated that they didn't receive either what was in the description or what was in the photo. What I received was model B60570-2100: a pocket thermometer, registering 20 to 120F, in an aluminum duplex case. That matches the description and it is exactly what I wanted. It is the same as the second photo in this listing, except for the scale. In case Amazon changes the photos, I have uploaded a photo of the one that I received. One reviewer stated, "Unscrewing the tube to remove the thermometer is slightly annoying." I don't know if he meant that the extra step was annoying or that the screw threads were difficult to engage. In the first case, the thermometer is glass, so needs some type of cover to protect it when not in use, as it is a POCKET thermometer and meant to be at least somewhat rugged. In the second case, the cover is made of aluminum and aluminum screw threads nearly always need a little lubrication to protect against seizing. I put a little silicone lube on mine, but I'm sure any type of lubrication that is safe for aluminum would work. The thermometer works well and is accurate, but if I had one complaint it would be that the thermometer rotates freely inside the metal guard and oftentimes needs to be rotated to view the scale and numbers. Touching the thermometer delays the reading and adds body heat. I think that the thermometer should probably have some adhesive to hold it in place inside the metal guard so as to be able to take readings as quickly as possible to avoid errors.

Item listing is not accurate
The one product number is listed but it is not for both thermometers offered. Also, there are differing pics as to what the thermometer would look like - is it encased in aluminum or not? Check with the Bel-Art website to verify the product number before ordering. I received #B60570-1600 "Closed Metal Case" though it was listed as #B60570-2100 "Aluminum Duplex Case". My (20-120 F) thermometer was not encased in aluminum but it did come with a tube-type, aluminum case. Bel-Art doesn't offer what I was looking for - instead, it is offered as #B60570-1200 "Window Metal Case" which doesn't come with the tube-type, aluminum case (if it did then it would be "Aluminum Duplex Case").

Gaps in the fluid.
Thermometer had gaps in the liquid column. Followed directions on how to remedy this with no success. Not a good purchase in my estimation.
