Mrs Joe. Fits well - short fingers, wide hands here, but flexible and conformable - would adapt to other hand shapes. Soft, tough, gauntlets stay in place. Did some prickly pruning this morning in comfort.

Bougainvillea thorns puncture the gloves easily. Maybe they're OK for roses
These are advertised as rose gloves, and I bought them for trimming my bougainvillea bushes. They're way too thin for my job. Bougainvillea thorns puncture the gloves easily. Maybe they're OK for roses. That's why I'm rating these gloves 3 stars instead of 2. Sizing was a problem: small is very snug on a 5' 4" woman and way too tiny for a 5' 6" woman. Of the 2 pairs, 1 wasn't stitched well around the fingers: the seams weren't straight and the leather was a little off-kilter.

Wonderfully soft and comfortable, BUT...
I have mixed feelings about these gloves. They're great for working with roses (deadheading, pruning, planting, etc.); the long cowhide cuffs provide wonderful protection for your arms, and the kid leather hand/finger part is very soft and comfortable and supple enough to provide great flexibility and dexterity. That said, I wouldn't buy them again because that wonderful soft, comfortable kid leather provides NO protection for palms and fingertips AT ALL (I have canvas gloves that protect my fingers better than these do), and my main need for gloves like this is for protection for my hands and arms ... I'm fighting a losing battle against 30' hedges of blackberries and wild roses which requires me to grab them by the canes and pull them down to cut them up, and these gloves, wonderful and comfortable as they are, aren't up to that job.Bottom line: if you need gloves for routine maintenance of a rose garden, these are perfect, go for it! If you need them for heavy duty protection against vicious thorns, these aren't the gloves for you. I'm keeping them for normal gardening because they're so comfortable, but I'll be looking for something sturdier to protect my hands in the blackberry wars.

Great gloves but on the small side
These are beautiful gloves! Nice quality. Size IS small, not small to medium. I have small hands and they fit me perfectly. (My wrist to middle finger tip is 6 3/4". Middle finger length is 3"). Any bigger and these gloves would not fit. I hope this helps you.

Best fitting leather gauntlet gloves
Having worn a pair of these last year, I ordered 3 pair this time--thinking ahead for the next couple years, afraid I might not find them again. Yes, if you really work hard in your garden like I do, you will eventually wear through these by the end of the season. But for many months of tough work, they endure with a great fit, maintaining their flexibility. So easy to work in, giving you wonderful protection against scratching branches, thorns, and insects. Eventually I just wore the fingers down from excessive use, but the price is so reasonable for real leather gloves, and so very worth it. I have tried others and they get hard and stretch, and quit fitting, so I can't even work in them anymore. These stay soft all season, continuing to form nicely to your hands like leather gloves should--I just can't recommend these enough. You will love these!

MUD GLOVES 27020 Gauntlet Gloves
Great gloves, they run a little small. I am glad I ordered the med to large. I normally wear a small, but after reading reviews I most certainly ordered the correct size. The gloves are well made. They are also very thick, but are easy to work in.
