Antigone (Greek Tragedy in New Translations)

College read. Good read!

Easy read, the translation is simple enough to get through this in an hour. Read it for a class but would recommend the story overall.

Have to read for class, cheaper here than most places. Came quick and in perfect condition!

This translation of Antigone is excellent and makes it very easy to read as the translators didn't overuse various complex words. There should be no difficulty in reading and understanding the play. The play itself is a very important piece of literature that is able to intertwine political commentary and tragedy into one relatively short play.

I’ve loved this play ever since I first read it for Theatre class. I love the unfaltering faith that Antigone has in her beliefs. She’s my favorite character from a play, and this is by far my favorite play.

school assignment so no strong positive feelings but interesting read

The author gives his own insight on the play which helps if one is not use to the wording, he breaks down every scene with page numbers so one can follow along the story, good book to have if one must read this play for school, this is the book to buy!

ok, so I say one-dimensional, but honestly, they were fun. I had to read this for a class, and don't regret it. It was a lot of fun, really well written, and I liked it a lot. Something everyone should probably read at least once in their lives.
