What A Way To End Your Day
What to do when baby is unhappy, several ideas abound.Little baby is not smiling, and that is unusual, what to do? Mommy knows and she starts with ten little kisses on ten little toes, mand then feet. Gramma takes over with 7 kisses on baby's belly, the dog even gets in some licks with 6 licks while y is being changed. And, on down to baby's head, nowhere she baby is snugly and warm and ready for bed with one little kiss to her head. The author, Karen Katz hamza way with words, and she seems to know exactly what to do with little babies who aren't smiling. Parents and adults will love this story and soon kisses may be shared by young and old. The illustrations are beautiful, colorful, vivid and bright, just right to mix with this story. What a way to end your day, with kisses and snuggles.Recommended. prisrob 07-25-15

Lovely Book For Baby
This is a lovely book for baby. It's bigger in size than most of the other baby board books I own but it's not too big so that my 7 month old can still hold it on her own and chew on the corners. The prose is rhythmic and it introduces babies at a young age to numbers and counting. Babies love being read the same book over and over and there are enough pages in this book that you as the adult reading it won't get bored. It introduces you to the baby on the first page, then one each addtional page, it counts down from 10 to one, then ends on the last page. So there are at least 12 pages of story line to flip through. The illustrations are beautiful and my baby loves looking at all the colorful pictures. Well done. I hightly recommend this book and the other books by the same author "Daddy Hugs" and "Mommy Hugs".

Sweet Interactive Book
I got this book to read to my 21 month old daughter at bedtime and overall am very pleased with it. The illustrations feature Karen Katz's signature babies and my daughter loves all her books, especially the lift the flap ones. I love that this book is so interactive and that I can do the kisses just like the mommy in the book and give affection at the same time. Another great thing about this book is that you can use the book to teach body parts to your child for each of the kisses, such as tummy, nose, and toes. You can also teach/reinforce counting for an older child since each type of kiss counts from 1-10.The downside of this book is that it's hard to hold your child and do the kisses in all the places at the same time, so we usually read it on the floor so we have space to do the kisses. Also, some of the pages are a little wordy for a toddler's attention span so I usually just do one kiss in each place so I can keep her attention. When she's older with a longer attention span, I'll do the number of each kiss stated to reinforce counting.Overall, this is a great story and my daughter loves it, so I highly recommend it!

Always makes my baby smile
I bought this book when my baby was around 10 months old and showing a preference for interactive books. We had a few of the Karen Katz lift-a-flap books and liked the illustrations. We started reading this book at bedtime. It always brings a smile to my baby’s face, and it helps to calm him when he is fussy. We don’t even do all the kisses - he just seems to enjoy the illustrations and the rhythm of the language. I would highly recommend!

Helps her go to bed at night
I'm the mom of a highly active 2 year old girl. She gets even more excited when dad gets home, but it is close to bed time and I wish she would start relaxing instead of running around and singing (which does not help her go to bed at all). We had challenges to put her to bed and this book came in very handy. This book makes her slow down from 100 miles per hour to sitting down to have dad and I read it with her on the couch. Sometimes we kiss her like in the book, sometimes we just let her turn the pages and we improvise the kissing according to the images (very cute anyways). The best part is the last page: the story ends with the baby in the crib with her eyes closed as the family is around her watching her sleep. That's when I say "Kiss, bye-bye, good-night baby" and kiss my daughter. Guess what happens next? She walks to her bed (recently converted from a crib) all by herself and smiling. And there she stays as we close the door of her room. 5 stars!

adorable!
Our little one absolutely loves this book! It's become a favourite for waking up and/or going to bed. Very cuddly and helps connect emotions to interactions with family. Good for learning body parts too. Also helps her emotional q development - now that she sees another baby or toddler crying on the playground, she rushes to hug them!
