I don't like to spend a lot on dress shoes because he grows out of them before they get any decent wear. He also seems to knock the faux leather coating off most non-leather shoes, so they don't look nice for long. He measured right at a 3 at the shoe store. I ordered a 4 and they are still slipping off his feet. Not sure if I will return or exchange. This is a great price for an obviously leather shoe. I've paid more for non-leather. The quality is not excellent (leather not uniform in texture, crooked seams, uneven cuts of leather along heel area) but the color is uniform and the stitching seems sturdy. They are extremely soft like moccasins. I don't think these have enough support for an older child (past 35 lbs) to wear as everyday shoes. Side Note: If you're not into skulls, be aware that there is a skull on the heel rubber and treads of the shoe. It's visible on the pictures; I just didn't notice it. We don't usually wear any skulls, but my husband pointed out that it would probably rub off after the second wear. I read the other reviews which is a habit when ordering online. It's stated that they run small and the people who actually purchased the shoe mentioned to order a size up, which I did. Unfortunately, I apparently need to order 2 sizes up from his regular shoe size. Now about the shoe: They are really nice leather coated shoes. I like them a lot and wish that I didn't have to send them back. They appear to be very comfortable by examining the texture and light cushioned toothed.
