My meter never ever under the most quiet moment on earth will go under 36.7. Is your meter similar?** A: the lowest reading I got is 35dba and this is accurate enough for my use. I needed it for measurements at 80 to 100 dba. I can not guarantee that my roos is absolutely quite or at 30dba. Maybe the $388 unit will do better and be more accurate. The $20 unit did just fine for me. Now is sitting lonely in the corner hopping for more use. **Q: Does it come with the tripod?** A: No, it doesn’t. **Q: I wanrt to measure db of a hand post hole digger at various distances (say 10 feet or 40 feet). It arrived quickly with no problems. Pulling them out of the package, they were already calibrated and ready for use. The device is easy enough to use that there was very little instruction to be given on them for the students who had never seen anything like it before. They seem durable enough that I will get many years use of out them before I have to replace them in the classroom. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ In all my years.... *by T***D on October 8, 2020* In all my years of playing music and having equipment I've never had a DB meter...I saw a guy in Venezuela use one in '78ish.... I saw one on C/list for like 15.00 $$ and was looking it up on the net and I saw one here in Amazon for such cheap that I said to my self.... Man... I need one of those... You see... I thought they were more expensive.. Well I saw some that were more and I thought... I'll try this one and see what'll it'll do.. As far as I know it works real good...
