New life for old built-to-last PS/2 keyboards
I have an old Compaq computer keyboard that is rugged and built to last--and the key characters haven't worn away like several new and inexpensive keyboards. Unfortunately, it has no USB output nor wireless connection for new computers lacking PS/2 ports. But, today a good quality keyboard like this one sells for $150 or more--that is, if you want one built to withstand heavy use over the years. This low-cost adapter actually has the conversion circuits built in to accept old PS/2 keyboard and mouse inputs, and gives a new life to a quality keyboard that has withstood the test of time. So, if you have a quality PS/2 keyboard that deserves to be used with a modern computer, and you don't mind the wired connection, this live-circuit PS/2-to-USB adapter fills the bill--and allows the operation of the CAPs-lock, numbers-lock and scroll-lock LEDs to work as well. Don't settle for an adapter that has no active circuitry to make the conversion. It will likely not work in this application. By the way, I don't use my computer for games so I can't rate this device for gaming. However, I do electronic and print publishing, and this adapter works flawlessly. I have not used the mouse connection as I have a wireless mouse for my daily activities.

Worked, plug and play adapter!
Worked great! I have an old keyboard from the 90s/2000s that is PS/2. I was worried about finding adapters since reviews for most were not good. Thought I’d try this one and right out of the box it worked on a 2022 laptop as a normal keyboard. For reference the keyboard I was using it in was a Chicony KB-2961

Works
Adapter works well. not seeing any difference in performance vs usb keyboard with direct plug in. Was able to use it with good quality ps2 keyboards that were going to waste.

Perfect with 5 volt / 1 amp chargers with a USB-A output port
I purchased a Shokz OpenRun2 headset and it came with a charging cable, but it’s short and both ends have USB-C connectors. Shokz says to use a 5 volt / 1 amp charger, but those chargers only come with USB-A output ports. This cable has a USB-A male connector for the charger and a USB-C male connector for the headset. The length of this cable (3 feet) is perfect too. I can lay my headset on top of my desk while charging, instead of on the floor. The diameter and quality of the cable feels like an Apple cable.

Worked
This item successfully allowed me to integrate my wife's legacy keyboard into a new build with a modern motherboard that does not have a PS2 connection. She wanted to keep her old keyboard (back from when they were made heavy and solid with a real feel for the keys) with the new build I had assembled.
