I used this carrier on my Dodge Durango with roof racks. It is very well made with quality straps and zipper. The straps have velcro ends so all you need to do is roll them up and velcro the ends instead of tying the hanging straps together. I bought the 20 cubic feet size and it fit perfect on top of the Durango. We had 2 travel size suitcases, 1 large gym bag, and 3 other gym backs on top and still had room. It was easy to tie down to the racks. It also comes with a pad that fit perfectly between the racks. Make sure you tuck any extra pad under the carrier or it will flop and make noise - speaking from experience. It took us maybe 10 minutes to load the carrier and strap it down - and we were on our way. Very impressed with the quality and it folds back up into a nice storage bag. It also comes with door hook tiedowns for vehicles without a roof rack but I didn't use them. It also includes a couple of extra tie down straps but we didn't use them either. The zipper is well protected by a large velcro flap to keep out the elements. We had 6 people on the trip and we had no bags in the vehicle. I would definitely recommend this carrier - well worth the price.

I drove across the country from North Carolina to Southern California this past February and I cannot imagine having done that drive without this roof rack storage!!!!! It was super easy to install and had plenty of space to pack the basic essentials for my husband and I to have at my new house - a queen-sized air mattress, an extra duffel bag of clothes, 2 lawn chairs, a set of bedding and pillows, towels, and plastic plates/bowls/cups. As long as you secure all of the strong thick straps correctly, the roof rack storage sits perfectly and is sturdy as hell. This also comes with an installation set-up for cars that do not have the roof rails!!!!! Highly highly recommend!!!!

We bought this for our trip to NY from Colorado. It holds plenty and is a great for when you don't have room for a full body cartop shell. The ropes were a little difficult to figure out, but held very firmly! However, the ropes did cause the rain to leak into the car (understandably), and our things did get slightly damp, although not soaked. We had to drive through a massive rainstorm, with buckets of rain, so a little dampness is expected, but it stood ip surprisingly well considering the circumstances. I recommend adding extra layers of water protection when using this over hardtop shells. (Plastic bags for your clothes. Avoid things that could get water-damaged, etc), but over all it stood up very well to the trip, with no damage to itself or our car.

This rooftop cargo bag out performed and went beyond our expectations! The bag is well constructed and durable. We loved it so much we bought a 2nd smaller one to use on our travels. We had so many different kinds of weather that we encountered and all our travel stuff stayed clean and dry because of the waterproofing and excellent coated zipper closure. The extra flap over the zipper was an added bonus! It was easy to tie down to our roof rack but it also works well on our other vehicle without a rack. There was no added noise at all from the rooftop back as we travelled the highways of the USA. Great product!

I have a Chrysler Pacifica. 1st I had a feeling but didn’t realize I had roof rails. Came in very handy to strap it down. 3 straps on each side just hook around once loaded and tighten. It was really easy. There were straps to take it through the door but that was so simple. The bag fit right between the rails so it was perfect. It for a Lot! 2 stroller (one larger than the other, scooters, beach blankets, bags of towels, pillows, kites, and bedding all went in there. I only had to put the coolers and suitcases in my car. I wish I bought it sooner really save so much room on the floor. Id say the only drawback is depending on size of car you need a ladder/step to get on the roof to make sure it’s secure and zipped up. Lesson learned so on packup day I zipped it almost all the way up then stuffed it. I used a step ladder from our vacation spot and did it all on my own. Not like that a big deal but it is when planning or packing alone. It can be loaded with one person but definitely helps so have someone Tony get up there to help. Either way it works. Other nice thing the material. Lots of other brands had a vinyl exterior. This one is like a canvas bag with waterproof inside. No rips from any debris hitting and even when we tried to go in the garage and couldn’t make it, it didn’t rip or damage anything. Just took tall to clear. I really do like it and when we came Home it folded up (like a fitted sheet) and went back into the bag. Very handy.

This is "NOT" waterproof. I have only used this product twice, even though I purchased it a few months ago. The second time I used it, it was raining both on the way to the hotel and on the way back home. When I arrived at the hotel, I noticed that all my belongings were wet. At first, I thought I might not have closed it properly. On the way back home, I made sure to double-check and was 100% certain it was sealed according to the instructions. Unfortunately, when I got home, everything was wet again. I’m sorry to leave negative feedback, but this was my experience. I can’t return the item anymore since it’s past the return window, but I want to help others be aware. Thanks.

For most part it's a good product. Sturdy material. Easy to put on the car. The lock it comes with is not the best, but maybe getting a different lock would be ok. My biggest complain is if you use this product without the car rack and use the door frame, rain water will come into your car. Something I didn't think about. I bought this product because I don't have a roof rack but yes, the rain leaks inside the car in all points that the straps are attached to. We made sure the rubber was snugged and sealed against the car but it leaks still. The bag itself and everything inside stays dry but you won't in the car. Trying to figure that part out.

For the price, this really is an amazing contraption. It worked great. We carried 150ish lbs on our Yukon and it never moved. It even served as a pad to help hold the kayaks. We didn't experience rain so we have no idea on the weatherproofing but it looks fairly rain-proof. My only concern is the zipper could be a bit more heavy duty. I opted to be very careful while zipping it up, getting a second person to hold the flaps together as I pulled the zipper. We had no troubles.

Awesome product easy to use fits a lot of stuff in it was able to pack for a 2 week camping trip no problem tent chairs clothing blankets cooking equipment games pillows so much room! Clips on to car hood with or without roof racks
