Good lock. Hard to twist. Holder is not secure.
I bought this lock like two months ago. This has been my experience with it.*It's pretty strong. Of course any cable lock can be cut off with the right tool. You might find some individuals giving this product a bad review because they left their bikes locked with "only" this cable, and guess what? Their bikes were stolen. This lock is NOT supposed to be your main lock, you need a good U-lock, or if you want to go through all the hassle get a hefty chain lock, but please don't blame it on the product if you don't know the basic rules of locking a bicycle.*The cable is very very very hard to twist. If you want to use it only to secure your front wheel to the frame it's not such a big deal, but if you're trying to get it through the front wheel, frame, and back wheel I tell you right now that there will be blood. No matter how strong you are, this lock is pretty twisted, and that's the only natural shape that it seems to acknowledge.*I used the lock a multitude of times since I bought it, mainly to lock the front wheel to the frame, and a few times as my main lock for short periods of time. But then something happened. See, the lock comes with a holder that you can install on the bike. I installed it on the seat post and it was pretty easy except that from the very beginning it felt flimsy. I would clip the rolled up cable onto it, but if I felt that if something hit the cable it would be knocked out of position and fell of the holder. Well, apparently that or something very similar happened because I lost my cable lock like 5 days ago. I have try to look at the evidence and that's the only possible explanation I can come up with. I went to school in the morning and locked with my u-lock and the cable. I went back to where the bike was parked after the class was over, I put my u-lock and messenger bag on my rear rack as I always do, and clipped the cable lock onto the holder. I got home and hours after I realized that I didn't have the lock, and after looking everywhere in my room, which is the only part of the house where I actually am most of the time I can say that it's definitely not here, or anywhere else in my small apartment. I think it probably fell off the bike while I was riding.I don't like to be unfair, that's why I gave the product a 4. It's not so bad, just bear in mind the things I mentioned in my review, and for God's sake, no matter what cable lock you choose, remember that unless you live in a part of the country where folks are really really realle honest, you NEED an u-lock.

Decent quality additional lock-update 6yrs later
6 yrs later:Ah well...after almost 6yrs, the lock finally gave away! The bad part-the lock just Jammed in a locked mode while I had 2-bikes locked together while enjoying some pizza with the family after a nice bike ride. The good part- somehow managed to mount the 2-bikes back on my car bike mount and drove home. Borrowed a heavy duty powered wire cutter. And it took a good couple of minutes to cut through with a powered cutter! So, itโs a decent quality lock minus the issues with the lock mechanism.6yrs ago:This is a descent mid-quality lock. The cable is reasonably thick and the product looks nice. We use this as a deterrent in a decent neighborhood or if I have to leave my bikes on my bike rack mounted on the car for a short while where I can still see my bikes from!! I have a heavy duty kryptonite bike lock and use this to supplement it.Overall, nice product but keep in mind that this will keep the opportunistic thieves away or slow a novice thief by a few minutes.

Not as bad as some say
I read a lot of reviews saying this is so hard to pull and I am not sure what they are taking about, it actually pulls a lot easier that any self coiling one I have ever had. The lock works good also though the case is plastic so in a high crime area you may wasnt a more expensive model but the cable is thick and heavy so it won't be a problem where I live. I am very happy with it. My only problem is that this seller packages everything in a separate package. I don't have a box outside my house so I had to make three trips to pick up my three things that I bought all at the same time. This is not a reflection on the lock though and really I guess it si a little stupid that it bothers me at all but it did.

Very good lock
I've only had this lock a month or two but i love it so far, it's very heavy & sturdy and the numbers are extremely easy to read. Another great feature with this lock is the ability to change the combination, which is great if you happen to forget the combination! As a matter of fact you need to set up your own individual combination when you first start using it, which is very easy to set up and very easy to change. Another thing that i like about this lock is it's 6 ft length....some bike locks out there are only 3 feet like my old one, and i always ran into problems with it being too short to secure my bike to some bike racks (or poles). So far this lock is great for my personal needs...only time will tell, but i would definitely recommend this one.

Great Lock
I bought this lock to replace my Wal-Mart lock of old (somebody figured out the combo on that one and kept unlocking my bike). This one is perfect, because it's strong, long and it has a changeable code. The clip thing broke pretty quickly, don't know what's up with that, but I just lock it around my bicycle when I ride. The clip breaking is why it has four starts instead of five.I use this lock in tandem with the Kryptonite New York Lock now. I am attending college in Minneapolis, and I use that lock and this one. I use this one to lock up my front tire, and haven't had any problems.

unbendable
This lock seems quite sturdy and the only reason I did not 5 star it is because it is larger than I wanted in total size but not length the 6 foot length is perfect but it will not fit well in a cargo pocket and is bulky and hard to unfurl. The lock comes with a sturdy bike mount for travel which is nice. I think it will keep a bike safe but if you have to use it ten times a day it might start to wear on the nerves fighting it each use. It is thick and rubber coated and the re-settable combination lock is awesome. Mostly a 5 star product just a bit too big and stiff for me.

Very Good Combo Lock
This combo lock works very well, I would have given it 5 - stars except for the mounting bracket. As some other reviews have said, it does not fit well on the frame of my bike. If I attempt to use the bracket without the included insert, it slips down the frame. If I use the insert, the bracket is separated to far apart to use the brackets screws. No problem, I just wrap it around the seat and frame post.

Bright but nice.
Works as described. The orange stands out but is still pleasing to the eyes.
