CeraVe Anti Aging Retinol Serum | Cream Serum for Smoothing Fine Lines and Skin Brightening | With Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, and Ceramides | 1 Ounce

I've used all the retinol creams on the market.... Trinny London (£69)... Paula's choice (also expensive but U can get a tiny bottle - a week's worth of treatment for £14).. The Ordinary's latest retinol cream which is great but, due to being used at night it stained my pillows! And, I've used prescription retinol from Skin & Me. This is a milder formula but, it absolutely does the job, it isn't expensive, irritating or staining! This is the 2nd time I've bought it and I'll continue to buy it as well. It isn't greasy or thick, it has a pale yellow colour (as retinol SHOULD have). It doesn't dry my skin out like all the other retinols did, and that's probably due to the Hyaluronic acid in the formula. It's creamy and easy to apply.... after cleansing and toning. It totally prevents spots and my skin is glowy and healthy looking. It's really smoothed out my uneven skin tone and at 47yrs old my skin is the best it's ever been in my life! I used it every night with a rich nightcrr over it then, in the morning I use cleansing balm to remove it but, I don't double cleanse as I feel that might irritate my skin. I then apply a veramide serum, am Alpha Arbutin serum (which totally takes away the slight redness caused by the retinol) followed by a vitamin C serum, a light moisturiser then SPF50++++ which is essential after retinol as retinol makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. I use for 28days as that's how long it takes for the epidermis to heal and repair itself, then I take a 2 week break where I'm using collagen sheet masks and turmeric masks at night before Hyaluronic acid serum and my night cream. I also do micro needling during my break time from retinol followed by a collagen serum and then ceramidesm This gives your skin a boost and makes your skin noticeable plumper. I do this to give my skin a break from the retinol and so I can focus on moisturising and helping collagen stimulation Soooo, this retinol will remain part of my skincare routine cos it's absolutely brilliant and great value for money. And retinol DOES erase fine lines with persistent use I took this photo yesterday, there is no filter on it and I'm 47 years old. I recommend this 100% and will be totally gutted if it's ever discontinued! Took this photo earlie

Excellent , great value for money.

I really like this serum. It’s lightweight, absorbs well, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. After a few weeks, I noticed my skin looking smoother and more even. It’s also great that it has hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, it feels very gentle for a retinol product. The only downside is the size. It’s quite a small bottle for the price, so it runs out quickly if you’re using it regularly. Still, it’s a good product if you’re looking for something that works without being too harsh.

This is a great retinol. I don’t use every day to avoid irritation as I know retinol can irritate. I always use at night so that it works whilst I sleep and then sun exposure isn’t an issue whilst using it. It does seem to have softened lines and pigmentation

I'm a huge fan of retinol. l do try to be consistent in using skin care products, but life happens, and i often find i sometimes am in a rush so can, and often do, go for a few days without applying skin care products. After recieving the CeraVe retinol i made an effort to make sure i use it daily. After 3 weeks of applying daily, i noticed some changes in skin texture and fine lines, i must say, i am pleasantly surprised with the results. I would suggest that in order to see any favourable results, there definitely needs to be consistency in usage. Overall, happy with the product and will re-order once finished.

After 2 months of using the product daily I didn't notice any difference at all. So I moved onto a different retinol that was just a 0.05% concentration and my skin began purging. After 2 months of using cerave retinol with no irritation, the fact I started purging leads to me to believe this retinol is below a concentration of even 0.05% as skin should only purge when increasing your retinol percentage. So cerave must be below 0.05%. Cerave also refuses to share the percentage of retinol on their products saying "its proprietary" which is very suspicious as retinol percentage is something you want to advertise, except of course when it's very very low. The product label also says it can be used twice a day, retinol should not be used twice a day as that would be irritating to the skin, unless again there's hardly any actual retinol in the product. I did experience no irritation when using this product despite being new to retinol, I experienced no purging when using cerave, despite being new to retinol. All of this and the fact I haven't seen any results after 2 months of daily use makes me think the retinol percentage is ludicrously low and thus ineffective, and the fact cerave refuses to share that information doesn't clear anything up.

Very good product, leaving the skin moisturized , hydrated and glowing. The smell is pretty much neutral no strong smells which is good . Would recommend

Bought on recomendation to perk up my lackluster winter complexion.. my skin struggled to tolerate it for a couple of weeks and I had to stop with the serum and night cream and just continue with the facewash and day and eye cream every other day then gradually work the two back in again over a few weeks and there has now been some improvement and I will continue. It's a good price for the quantity and quality of product and I like the simplicity of the packaging. It has a nice fresh fragrance that is very subtle and you only need a small amount of product. It arrived in very good time and sensibly packaged. I think it is wise to do some research on this product, I didn't and so it may not be the best/right formulation for my mature dryish skin which is my own fault to be fair to the product. My daughter swears by it though.
