Schlage F10 AND 716 ADD Andover Door Knob with Addison Trim, Hall & Closet Passage Lock, Aged Bronze

We used these to upgrade our "builder grade" knobs and they are beautiful and made such a difference. They are very affordable in comparison to other knobs similar in style. My husband said they were easy to install and loved that you could take the knob off of the side with the screws for ease of screwing them on the door.

I installed like 15 of these things in our new house, they were easy to install and seem like they will hold up for a very long time. Each doorknob took maybe 10 minutes, longest part being to make sure you get the square plate straight before tightening down.Had no issues with finish or damaged product across all 15 knobs.

I got this set in chrome to match a new bathroom update. the finish is very nice, the knobs are very heavy with the back plates. Looks like it might be plastic from afar, but definitely cast metal. They don't show it in the pics, but this inside and outside knobs, strike plate, and latch, and related hardware. Inside push button lock unlocks with a twist in any direction (good for kids), and can be unlocked outside with a thin rod pushed through the opening. they provide one, but a thick paper clip would work. best part it, this covers the outrageously large hole a prior owner left in my otherwise solid oak door that would cost thousands to replace. the back plates are a life saver.

The Schlage F10 and 716 16-080 10-027 Andover Hall and Closet Knob and Bed and Bath Knob, Aged Bronze are of good quality, for the price. The knobs feel secure and the mechanism's return springs are adequate. All the locksets (5) we received are of consistent quality and color. Exposed surfaces of the hardware as well as the screws are color matched. The 'distressing' feature on the edges of the 'Aged Bronze' color is slightly less than pictured (see comparison image). We ordered multiples of these to replace 20+ year old Weiser 'brass' hardware. It's easy to note that dimensions of some of the parts have changed over those years, or possibly aren't standardized across manufacturers(?) The included Strike Plates and Latches have rounded edges versus square corners on my older ones. Also, some dimensions are up to 1mm less than the older hardware, making for gaps that were previously covered by the older hardware (see image).My biggest disappointment with these and my reason for rating at 4 stars is the surface finish. It is rougher than I expected. Other reviewers have described it as 'textured'. It's difficult to believe this level of finish quality was the intent since other manufacturers' household hardware in this color, such as cabinetry knobs/pulls, faucets, window latches all have 'glass like' finishes. These are not even close. It's my hope that this finish ages gracefully since our sole reason for replacing our old hardware was to follow current design and color trends. Ours is an old farm house, so my observations aren't deal breakers for us. For those that can't accept these, my assumption is that you will be shopping at a higher grade level of door hardware.

These knob and latch assemblies are inexpensive and beautiful replacements for the badly worn 1949 skeleton key locking units on my pantry door and the door between kitchen and den. Quite a bit of skill and labor was required to make the transition, however, due to the very different sizes and construction of the old and new units. If you are replacing old locks, I consider using these on painted doors, not natural finished wood—especially if the old backplates are larger than these. Be forewarned: if any of your doors need matching dummy doorknobs, those are far more costly to purchase than the functioning knobs with latches.

This knob was very easy to install as a replacement to a decades-old door knob that suddenly started falling apart. This knob is also made from higher-quality materials, which easily justify the higher price. Since this is something you'd want to last a long time, I recommend not getting a cheaper knob. It's also reasonably attractive for a door knob.

High quality. Took about 10 minutes to install. Bought 2 more of same product. Going to replace another4 keyed units as soon as I can figure out how to use same key for all.

This was used for an exterior door at our home. Installation was easy. The knob must be completely turned for it to unlock to prevent being locked out. We love the updated appearance.

These door knobs are very impressive. Heavy construction. I chose Polished Chrome with square detailed plate/ rosette. It works perfectly with our shaker doors in our home Reno.I’ve researched so many styles and prices. Almost overwhelming. Some brands have been shockingly expensive.
