Enjoyable read
Its a very cute, entertaining book but everything seems to happen in like warp speed... Would've loved if the author developed & expounded on the characters & the narrative more. But it was still an enjoyable read.

Highly recommend
I loved it. This story cracked me up & was sexy too. The main characters banter was so entertaining & the narrator was great.

A refreshing breeze of love
We have two women that have things in their past that make them reluctant to give love a try. Carly was hurt by a woman badly in her early twenties vowing never to open her heart again. Pat is a beautiful woman who wonders if the women are after her for her looks or her family name. Both know the other is in trouble when Pat's aunt volunteers her to help with a wildlife restoration project. Pat is indifferent to the cause even though she makes her living taking pictures of wildlife. Dr. Cary has made it her life long mission to save the wetlands. Can these two get over their different views on life? What about the past heartaches? Even with instant sparks and a draw to be together, will they allow it to turn to love? A great mix of romance and comedy.

Another Excellent Entry in Hill's Growing Body of Work
Wildlife biologist Carly Cambridge moves to the south Texas coast to establish a wildlife habitat. When she needs a photographer, one of the habitat's benefactresses recommends Pat Ryan. From the getgo, Pat considers Carly to be an environmentalist wacko. Carly's not sure Pat is qualified to take the pictures she needs.Gerri Hill has a real talent for intertwining a good story and a good romance. Her characters, like Pat and Carly, seemingly have nothing in common, but they always find common ground. She also uses the setting as a character. In this book, she adds a hurricane to the mix to add tension.Once again, Hill has written a page-turner. Hill is one of the best writers writing in this genre. And she gets better with each new book.

Clever Banter
The best thing this book has going for it is the witty banter between the two main charachters. I hate when reviews turn into a synopsis of the book so all I will say is that these two very different women create a wonderful chemistry. Hill has once again created two very full, rich charachters who at first seem at odds, but play off each other very well. The passion each character has for their work is believeable and the "Moment of Truth" that brings them together will keep you at the edge of your seat. And, as always, the intimate moments deserve their own accolades.

Fair, but not great.
Dr. Cambridge has sworn off women, and tries really hard for about five minutes to not fall in love. There's no palpable angst or pain in her backstory. I was promised struggle but there's no meat to it.Pat Ryan is a carboard cutout raven badass who melts instantly in the presence of Carly, and they bicker for three seconds before getting on with the kissing. There is no antagonizing whatsoever.Three or four glaring missteps in editing, but nothing major. I'm also not sure if the author actually knows what chapters are for, as some of them are half a page long and lasts for a paragraph. They're there for show.Decent chemistry, but it's a quick route to eternal bliss. Story is researched and sets a good enough background, but overall the plot is thin.$15 for the Kindle version is steeply overpriced.

The Photographer Mets Her Match
Wildlife Photographer Pat Ryan is duped by her Aunt Rachel into volunteering to do photos for Habitats For Nature. Dr. Carly Cambridge is the wildlife biologist is responsible for restoring the wetlands to their natural state. They clash immediately but over time the attraction surfaces and both are on a road they never intended. Great author and story. Recommend

Stormy weather and emotions
A very enjoyable romance that blends humour with high-drama โ 4 StarsWhen wildlife photographer, Pam Ryan, is volunteered by her Aunt to help produce promotional material for a new nature project, sheโs expecting the projectโs leader, Dr Cambridge, to be a โcrusty environmental whackoโ. However, the decidedly attractive Carly Cambridge is anything butโฆand that spells trouble for independent Pam.This is a very sweet romance featuring two protagonists who, for different reasons, have both rejected the idea of being in a close personal relationship, yet find themselves inextricably drawn to each other. Devastated by a deceitful relationship in the past, Carly is determined not to give her heart to anyone, least of all the brash photographer, but Pam Ryan isnโt about to give-up on the promise of a future sheโs only ever dreamt about.Set against the beautifully described backdrop of a wetland nature reserve, this is a delightfully romantic story of two strong personalities as they engage in a โpush-me, pull-youโ courtship. Peppered with witty dialogue, itโs also a romance that has a great deal of humour, and includes some high-drama as well. If you want an easy-read, light romance, then this is a very good one.

A genuinely romantic love story
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and just re-read it. It is let down somewhat by lazy editing though: there are places where the author's notes appear to be there instead of the sentence she was going to write. For a book of this price, and Gerri Hill' s books aren't cheap, I would expect a decent edit. Gerri, please rectify this as it is letting you down and spoiling the read.Other than that I love the characters and I love the story, which is a gentle and enjoyable tale.

Entertaining and fun
I've had this for a few years in paperback and wanted a copy for my Kindle. I tend to re-read books I enjoy and this is up there with the best of Gerri Hill's entertaining stories. There's humour, a little suspense and lots of romance. Definitely an enjoyable read in an easy, accessible style. I've bought two versions - what more can I say? :D

An excellent light read with likeable characters painted with her usual deep clarity so that one could easily identify with them. Ms. Hill as a writer has the ability to make her books full of interest and involvement. I love the aspects of the great outdoors interwoven with romance without being maudlin.

Not too bad
Not my fave Gerri Hill. Personally I do not find the tomboyish, lanky main character attractive and she was borderline annoying. However, the story itself was interesting and engaging and the other characters made me laugh. Just no real drama to make it fulfilling.
