I recently acquired an Epiphone Les Paul and, fearing the problems I used to have with my old (non-strap-locked) guitar, which used to randomly detatch from my strap and come crashing to the floor, I decided to try these out.They're ridiculously simple in design and use; they simply secure your strap in place by forcing it to stay on with a combination of pressure and being made of rubber, and you shouldn't need to replace any of the bits on your guitar to use 'em. Installing them is a little tricky and they could become tiresome if you're in the habit of replacing your strap frequently, but if they're so cheap I can't see that becoming an issue.All in all, I think these are brilliant.

If you want to stop your strap accidentally coming off these seem to do the trick. They are very stiff but also not flexible which is actually what you want. I tried to work them over the strap holding screw but because they are so stiff it was almost impossible and I gave up.By removing the strap holder screw and then putting the strap lock in first, then the strap and then screwing it back in place, it worked a treat. You are basically putting in on in reverse.Once back together again, their is no way this strap is coming off and that's exactly what I wanted.Point to note.If you have a thick strap eg leather, then it probably wont work as there wont be enough room for both the strap and the lock within the same screw strap holder.They are extremely difficult to put on but also extremely difficult to come off.I have 4 guitars and can only get them on three as the screw has little space to fit the lock on.

Anyone who plays guitar will know the feeling of dread when your prized axe unexpected starts to drop from your waste. If you're lucky you will catch it before it strikes the ground, if your not so lucky you've just acquired a roadworn edition of your favourite guitar. This were straplocks come in. They are a relatively simple device that is placed on the strap button to help retain the strap ends to the guitar.Having a small collection of guitars I decided it was about time I added some to my axes. I found this pack of 12 silicone strap locks on Amazon so I ordered them. The come in a small bag and there are indeed 24. The material feels robust and strong enough to help retain the strap in place. Fitting them is a pain in the proverbial though. While they do stretch a little, it still take some effort to fit them to the strap buttons. I recommend unscrewing them first, adding the strap lock then the strap before refitting. However this difficulty in fitting bodes well for their ability to secure the strap to you guitar. So far I've had no issues while playing and they feel very secure. My only regret is I didn't pick up some red ones as well.These are an essential purchase for guitarists. These are of decent quality and reasonable value. My only reservation is that there are other sellers with a remarkably similar product for slightly less, or in greater quantity.

Useful and non invasive strap locks which are just as good as higher priced equivalents I have.

I like to have a supply of these around at all times. I've used them to secure straps on guitars, basses, keytars (yes I know), and even to keep a GoPro attached to a third party extension pole/grip. Nice.

Unlike a number of revews on here, I found the rubber too soft to be effective; a slight tug and they come off. Either the strap buttons on my guitars (strat, tele and Musicman) are smaller than usual (unlikely), or the product quality has suffered. Perhaps I received a bad batch, but I'm not sure I trust them enough to use on my instruments.

Worked on my 6 string electric. That guitar was always a concern due to the placement of the end pin behind the guitar instead of on the horn. These appear to have completely secured the strap as to not worry about it coming off. On my bass, I have the oval end pins, which actually work great, but thought I might add these to be doubly secure. Due to the design of the oval end pins, there is not room for the thick strap locks. That is no fault of the strap locks, simply end pin design. No worries with that one anyway. I saw the reviews about these being stiff. They are. That is what makes them (in my opinion) the better choice. I did not find them hard to put on and didn't need to warm them up. Depending on your end pin size, you might, but no big either way. Totally satisfied. Giving a couple sets to friends. Great purchase.

The item is too hard to manipulate with a very tight opening.
