The reason I'm using this product is that I'm trying to cover the old, permanently colored ends (dark red that bleaches out over time to a VERY light gold-red, because I spend a lot of time outside) while I grow out my natural color, which is darker brown now streaked with silver. I'm eventually going to try the all-silver thing unless the salt-and-pepper streaks turn out to look just too mousy. This semi-perm color fills the bill in the meantime. It's a little dark right after application, but after the first shampoo it evens out to look pretty natural.LIKES: Inexpensive, easy to apply, easy on my hair. You can store the product, and a bottle will last for at least two applications, maybe even three, unless you have really long, thick hair (I don't).DISLIKES: If you shampoo your hair more than once or twice a week, this is going to fade pretty fast. An application only lasts me about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks, less if I'm doing sweaty work in the garden and have to shampoo my hair frequently.All in all, I'm happy with the choice, and my hairdresser seems happy with it, too.
