Apparently there are 171 five star ratings for this item but only 9 had reviews to read. Unfortunately, there were several ratings of 3 star or less but no review provided. Consequently, without comprehensive reviews, I was unable to evaluate properly the quality of this item with a view to purchase. In the Questions section I asked if anyone had had any issues with this product and, thanks to Amazon’s proactiveness in publishing the query, I received several favourable replies. One even said they couldn’t understand why anyone would give this product a low rating. Sometimes this may be due to issues which have nothing to do with product quality but, when the negative ratings have no reviews to read, it’s hard to assess. This is something that buyers should consider when providing a rating for a product.Based on the positive answers to my query I purchased two sockets. I couldn’t have been more pleased.They are sturdy, strong items with a quality that would match the big brands that sell at twice the price. The faceplate is rigid metal that doesn’t buckle like thin, cheap versions and there is ample space between the terminal block and the back of the metal box to run cables. The terminal screws are hefty and designed to last as is the whole unit. There are a choice of 20mm punch out holes around the metal box but you will need to provide your own grommets or fixings to comply with regulations. All in all this item is great value, looks professional and I fully intend to purchase more units to fit out my garage.

Good solid construction

Very good product.Would give overall 5 stars, but i needed to wire from side and the hold down screws get in the way of the 240 volt cable. Make sure it does not hit a live wire with this. If not checked 100% could lead to accident.
