Mixed feelings
These earpads are clearly very well made and I expect they will last longer than the stock pads or knock-off replicas of the OEM versions (which are stupidly expensive, hence why most of us look to third party replacements). The sound isolation is also excellent and better than I remember from he OEM pads. Thirdly, they look great in the turquoise colour. However... my overriding impression after testing these pads out is that the change in the sound signature of the headphones is too drastic. Bass is significantly boosted - this seemed initially impressive, but it is not a good change. Bass is now much more bloomy and this change also gives the phones a scooped quality in the mids. High end treble is now more harsh. One thing that could be considered an advantage of these pads over the stock ones is that they have much stronger external noise cancellation, but it gives me that strange fatiguing sensation that actual active noise cancelling headphones do - they ultimately make my MDR 7506s sound like cheaper headphones (in fact very similar to an inexpensive pair of noise cancelling headphones I bought so I could hear music properly while on the train which also has hyped bass). Ultimately I can't really recommend these for studio/live use because they negate the 7506's greatest quality which is their detailed and mostly neutral soundscape. As tracking headphones I might consider using these pads purely because the isolation is so good for bleed purposes, but otherwise I consider myself more disappointed than impressed.

Fitted east great replacement
Replaced old ear pads on my Sony headphones that had become frayed - these fitted excellently and sound quality is very good - maybe a bit more bass than before but I could be wrong - delivered in 24 hours , really good all round

Very comfortable from the get go
I have had the Sony MDR-7506 for 4-5 years, and I have replaced the earpads on them twice. The first time I ordered another product on amazon, and the first few weeks my head/ears were hurting until I broke them in. This product caused me no issues whatsoever and were comfortable even the first time I put them on. I do not have other brand new pads to compare the sound and noise cancellation qualities with, but I am happy with the product.

Super-soft, comfortable and better than originals - fiddly to fit
Although very happy with the performance of my Sony MDR-7506 phones, one area that was less good was the pads which lack something in bulk and depth and something usually negatively commented upon in reviews. Some Chinese-made pads were initially ordered but they looked and felt no better than those fitted. Then I discovered Brainwavz! These are covered in a soft woven 'microsuede' fabric with memory foam within. They feel far superior and more comfortable but fitting is not a breeze. One area needs to be carefully engaged and held while you extend the area of coverage until the pad is at least 3/4 fitted; the last section is the most difficult and it was first thought that the incorrect size was supplied. Eventually one ear was complete and the second was easier with some experience. While several alternative finishes are available and several colours, too, these will apparently fit several models from a variety of brands.Although certainly not 'cheap', they offer a better final appearance, improved comfort and slightly improved sound isolation - there wasn't much sound leakage with the original pads but there is clearly less after fitting these. Overall, they are good value for the extras they offer.

Acceptable
Harder and slightly smaller than my original Audio Technica ATH M50XBT ones. Was hoping they were softer to boost the bass but no better than the stock. Disappointed. Unless yours are ruined I wouldn't bother. Will continue my hunt for springier, softer ones.

Slightly smaller than expected, but get used to it
Those pads are smaller on a inside compared with original ones. Been using them on a daily basis (I am a location sound mixer and boom op) and they seem fine.
