This file seems well made and will get the job done. I bought it to file the area of a brake caliper mounting bracket where the brake pad abutment clips go and it was too wide for that purpose if used on cars and SUVs.

Filed down some trim pieces with this for a good fit on a head unit in a ranger, absolutely killed it, works great.

Nicholson files speak for themselves. Great quality and longevity

Good file for the money.

I use this file to sharpen garden shears and hatchets. Works well. If you do it often, maybe you'd want something nicer, but occasional use it's been great.

This is my go-to for filing small defects in sheet metal. Just have to make sure it's clean

I received my file today and as soon as I opened the envelope and grabbed the bottom of the package, the file was supposed to be sealed in, the file slid out through an opening where it looks like a return or something. After further examining the file I can tell it had been used and it has rust on the file and packaging. I thought these files were a good brand... I have 2 other Nicholson files that are about 4 years and only single cut so I thought buying this would help with rapid stock removal. I am debating on returning it back and shopping else where. I don't want a used file and the handle is ridiculously sharp and cut me a few times while examining the file. I am very displeased.

Lasted 3 months sharpening axes. Wore out trying to profile a Mexican axe. All shiny now and skates over the axe. Switched to Bahco
