White Cowled Outlet Grille 183mm External Dimension Wall Vent with 150mm - 6 inch Round Rear Spigot and Wind Baffle Backdraught Shutter

Tried this unit first of all the cover would not locate properly as it was slightly distorted for the body. I rectified this by heating it up with a hairdryer locating the parts together then allowed to cool. So far so good. Fitted unit to wall but the flap just kept rattling with winds greater than 20mph keeping us awake. I live in Lincolnshire and have tried to find a vent with a flap that does not rattle. Currently the flap has now been removed to stop the noise! unfortunately the flap within the fan housing is not good enough to stop the draught. Is their some Fan cowling out their that works quietly, i shall keep on looking!

Don’t buy this cheap plastic vent…mine turned up broken, the lights on one side of the vent broken off, and the whole thing is really cheap and nasty rubbish…. Don’t waste your money on it…

Poorly made. The backdraft preventing flap hangs loosly but sticks on the sides of the cowl which has distorted inwards. No good trying to bend the sides out as the wall mounting plate pushes them back in again.Its a cheap product so rather than return it I will shave a little bit of both sides of the flap which should allow it to function as intended.

Poor design, round disk sticks on the walls of the vent casing keeping it in an open position for birds etc to enter. Even if it had a spring closure, as most other design have, you'd still have to file, cut or trim the round disc for it to close. This has nothing to do with the installation as it was already like this straight out the box. After install it was exactly the same.

I tried a few cheaper options on other extractor fans in the house and these didn't really work that well. This however was a breeze to fit and works very well. Like most units that have a flap, I still had to put a bit of gaffer tape to muffle the noise of it banging occasionally, but as I say, this seems par for the course.

Needed to replace a original outlet.This item is way stronger and of much better build quality then the original and it was very easy to install without a handyman.it’s been used in a very busy household as a cloths dryer exhaust outlet and is doing what it’s designed for.

Ordered cowl vent arrived broken; replacement was sent out immediately but turned out to be wrong model due to IT issue - 2nd replacement arrived in 2 days. Manager Kevin Wilding handled the issues personally and ensured that I was completely satisfied. 5 stars for customer satisfaction...and great product range!

Bought to stop backdraughts, it does not work in windy conditions. This is the the third device fitted in my bathroom ventilation ducting - a non return flap , a manrose dual flap device and now this on the outside wall , with 3 devices in line you would think that the backdraught problem would be solved . Guess I should have tried going out under the eaves and then turning the outlet back towards the wall thus minimises the cross wind effect .
