JOYOJF-315 Medalhead Distortion Electric Guitar Single Effect

The Metalhead pedal is silver. The other colors are different pedals, and for what it's worth the blue (quattro delay pedal) is also terrific. Anywho, I'm playing this pedal on a Traveler Ultra Light or Epiphone Les Paul LTD Pro through either an Orange Micro Terror w/ matching cab or a Blackstar ID Core 100 clean channel. It's loud but the distortion effect is for lack of a better description, clear. The distortion is more severe than their equivalent fuzz pedal but with the four adjustments you can fine tune it quite a lot. To my ear it has a very Volbeat sound when cranked up with no funky buzz at any point along the spectrum. For the price point, you can't beat it.

The Joyo Ironman pedal line is a fantastic and affordable way for guitarists to get the effects they want at a price that doesn't force you to play on the same strings for the next three years. I make it a point to pick one up every so often, just to see if I'm missing something in my tone and sound. As a whole, I've been beyond impressed with the quality and versatility of Joyo's offering - so don't look at the review as characteristic of what to expect from Joyo Ironman pedals.I was looking for something to add a bit of character to my pedal board. Modulation and echo effects only go so far, and overdrives don't dirty a signal enough if they're not pushing my full 100w tube head to levels that result in visits from the local men in blue. I wanted a bit of adjustable dirt or grit to add without turning my amp to 11.Pro: Metal tones. These are completely similar to the mass-appeal metal sounds you hear on records. Linkin Park, Pantera, In Flames? It's all in there.Cons:*I was hoping for a bit more versatility. I turned the distort knob to "why are you even turning this pedal on?" and I was able to squeak out a drive levels similar to a maxed out Tube Screamer. I nudged the knob ever so slightly forward, and I was already in metal-ville. While the amount of gain and chug you want to get from the pedal can be adjusted, this pedal is either "metal" or off... there's very little (if any) area between.*Lack of Stacking - Overdrives and distorts usually can stack atop one another and create a sound that's more unique and contains character greater than the sum of their parts. My usual go-to stacking pedals weren't able to add anything more than a boost element to this pedal.All in all, this pedal does as advertised: It provides a constant and consistent metal tonal experience for your guitar. If a new guitar player is looking for a 1 button metal pedal to plug into their small, clean channel practice amp...this is a no-brainer. If you want something more versatile, scalar, stack-able, or are looking for the grey area between that Orange Boss box, and "bag of glass" metal distortions.... you won't find it here.

Nice tight metal distortion which sculpts well using just the pedal controls and with lower noise than alot of the other distortion pedals i've tried. This one's staying on my pedalboard!

je l ai commandé après etre tombé sur une video YouTube et j ai été conquis.le son est vraiment pas mal par contre soyez très bien équipé avec une guitare moyenne gamme au minimum et des micro qui sonne, un ampli qui lui aussi ne dois pas etre trop mauvais.et la la bete ce laisse apprivoiser.maintenant il va falloir voir sur le long terme si la qualité sera au rdv.

JOYOというと安っぽい缶みたいな筐体のイメージがありますが、このIRONMANシリーズは筐体もノブもスイッチもしっかりしていて高級感があります3500円ぐらいだったので思わずポチりましたが、期待を裏切る良さでしたBOSSのメタルゾーンにインスパイア…と宣伝文句にありますが音はメタルゾーン系の音です、みんな大好きメタルゾーンのザクザク感BOSSはどうだったか忘れましたが、こいつはノイズゲート内蔵なんじゃないかってぐらいにローノイズで、しかも弾きやすかったですちなみに別のACアダプタにつないだら盛大にスパークして壊れました。ダメだこりゃ！
