How strong do the magnets stick?

Not strong at all! In fact, there was no stick! The board was not magnetic and I was very disappointed!

Are there holes or spaces on the back to hang the board on screws or "S" hooks?

There are holes in the corners and they send screws but I just used nails to hang it. It is very nice and hangs securely in all four corners

Is the pen tray removable?

It is removable. You can locate it anywhere along the bottom of the board.
