I purchased this sprocket for my 2013 V-Strom 650 and it worked fine.

whats the pitch ? will it work on a 2018 sv650 ?

I would advise that you look up the specs of the stock chain and sprocket set for your motor cycle. That's where I started. Google and Youtube have served me well.
