What kind of clip is behind the starfish?

Because it's made of resin, the back is smooth, with a metal clip

Why can’t we SEE the CLIP?

The clip is small enough that it hides behind them making it not visible. I should have a review posted that shows the clips. I bought 4 and 2 were already broken off and had to be glued back on.
