This lip crayon is an easy way to apply color with precision. However, there are two issues I have with it. The first is, the precision won't be there once the point becomes dull, and sharpening wastes product. At that point I would probably switch to adding a lip pencil for the outline and then fill in with this. The second issue is just a matter of personal taste: the red has a touch of orange in it which I did not expect and which does not look great with my skin color. Just something to be aware of. On some people that looks fabulius, but not on me. I will probably try other shades in this line.

So I am very ambivalent about this red. I thought I was going to put it on and absolutely love it like Make It Happen or Own Your Empire but I did not automatically arrive at liking it. I keep trying to look at it from every angle and determine what is off for me. Is this what I like to call "popsicle red" which I do not prefer. i wanted to return it but it is nonrefundable. All my stars are really going to what I like about Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayons. To me these are much easier to apply than the liquid lipsticks. They will not become gooey, flaky, or peeling off your lips. I have a difficult time with the liquid lipstick applicator and find more accuracy with the crayon. These do not transfer off when you are eating or drinking. They also make the lips appear more full than the liquid version. I feel like these also last forever whereas the liquid products dry up, start to smell off, etc. then you have to buy new ones.
