Springfield Marine Air-Powered 3-Stage Pedestals, Black

Not packaged well from manufacturer
The table pedestal itself is nicely made and works as described. It takes some weight/force to push it down after it has been raised. The product is overpriced for what you get and for $550 it should be packaged with Styrofoam at the base and top to protect it from being damaged in shipping. The base was damaged during shipping and now the powder coating is scraped/torn up. This is a Springfield issue and not an Amazon issue. If I were going to use it in a marine application, it would be rendered useless because that area would rust. I plan to use it for a table in RV. Not sure if I will keep it or return it.

Great RV upgrade.
Perfect for our RV. Very easy table drop and assisted spring up lift. Also can rotate table which helped clearance when slideout closed. Don't know why more RVers aren't on to this.

The table is quite wobbly
We bought this on the recommendation of the Modern Caravan, an Airstream renovation company we cannot recommend. This product is an example of their inexperience, and given that this is supposed to allow the table to lower down to align with the seats of our dinette, making a bed, it is impractical. The table is quite wobbly, though it was built well out of oak. The problem is that if you lean on the table at all, the whole thing shifts. If you put it down to make it a bed, the corners fall down and makes it uncomfortable to sleep on. The functionality that makes it go back up easily doesn't work with this table's weight, which I cannot say is exceptionally heavy, so I have to push it up and down. It looks very nice, kind of steam punk, industrial modern, but for the money it costs I don't think it's worth it.

Best RV/Marine telescoping pedestal
The screws that attach the table top base to the pedestal itself were a bit loose when the pedestal arrived, which led to a slight wiggle in our table. Easily fixed by simply tightening those three screws. I saw the scathing review from another poster and imagine that man isn’t terribly handy or he would have fixed this with a simple adjustment. In fact, I would ignore that review. He seems to have an ax to grind about a business he contracted out to work on his RV and is using any platform to speak about about them. Take his reviews of anything with a grain of salt. The table leg is amazing. Super solid, love that it’s air powered and lifts on its own, albeit a bit quickly for my liking. The base is so sturdy and has zero wobble, which seems to be an issue plaguing most table bases designed for RVs. This is on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.We have the all silver version, but it’s functionally just the same. I couldn’t be happier. No need to cut a hole in the floor and the base that screws into your table top is very large which gives good support. We sent back two other table bases before finding this because they were designed or machined poorly. If you have the money to spend, this is certainly the best pedestal we found.

Great RV Upgrade
We Had this for the table support in our Passport 2910 BH. It replaced the horrible folding steel frame table legs that came on the table . This pedestal worked great. I had it set so all you had to do was unlock it and push it down to make the dinette into a bed. Very stable and gave lots of leg room compared to the old folding legs. The table can also turn to allow getting into the booth easier. Highly Recommend to upgrade your RV Dinette Table.
