Ross-Simons 11.00 ct. t.w. London Blue Topaz and .14 ct. t.w. Diamond Drop Earrings in Sterling Silver

The picture does not do these justice. They are not huge - just large enough to show up, and they look delicate, not chunky. The topaz is a beautiful midnight blue that reflects the light, and has sky blue highlights when light shines on the gems. The diamonds around the edges of the topaz sparkle like little stars against an evening sky. Those are a rich looking pair of earrings. The price is very reasonable for the quality.

The butterfly backing was way to small for the weight of the earrings. The small backings made the earring droop on the ear. Pleases consider using a larger backing so earrings sit straight up on earlobe. If not for the backing I would have given a 5 Star rating for all categories. Now I have to go find and buy backings to hold earring flush against earlobe. (More time and money needed to spend to make earrings great)

The stones on the earrings were purchased to match the London blue topaz ring as featured. However, the earrings are disappointing because they look black rather than blue.

These earrings are very pretty and they work equally well with either a dressy or more casual outfit. They have more of an opaque smoky blue appearance while being worn than the photos indicate. They do show more clarity and lighter color like the photos if one views them held up to a light, but during normal wear they don’t have that sparkly backlit appearance. They are elegant in more of a non-blingy, understated way. I have received many compliments on them, and wear them often.
