In this Garden: Explorations in Mixed-Media Visual Narrative

Love this book!! I want to do it, I’m set to do it - but there’s one thing missing: what do I use to make (cut) the house itself out of before I begin to collage on it? I have photocopied the template to 200%… I have imageries, collage papers, everything else I could ever want… But I have nothing to begin gluing them ON to… because the book doesn’t tell you what type of paper or cardboard or whatever to cut the house rooms out of. I have also ordered the garden book. If anyone can find a way to help me with this problem, I would be so thankful!

Having followed this creative and artful duo of Angela Cartwright and Sarah Fishburn, I was expecting great things with their new book. So I'm more than thrilled with this delightful collaboration! Their choice of contributors and variety of projects makes this a valuable source of inspiration and motivation. Get this book if you love a mix of photography, words, mixed media techniques and creativity to inspire. Then set some time aside, for you'll not want to put this book down - unless you just can't wait to start your own artful project - and you will.I say Bravo! This is a really neat book full of artistic inspiration. It will probably teach you some new art tricks.

Chock full of great ideas and beautiful photos. I purchased it used so it was rather a steal at the price.

Wonderfully inspiration for my mixed media creations

This book is a continuation of the House Book theme. The artists shown have some previous reputation for mixed media and provide lots of eye candy. There are directions for using different media to achieve the look. But it is mostly an example of using a different theme and substrate for mixed media. Even so I found it inspiring and am looking forward to tackling my own garden book.

This book is inspirational. I love the photos and the words of the artist as they describe their artwork and what their real-life garden means to them. And for those who read it that are artists, its good to have the list of materials they incorporated to create their beautiful art garden.

Lovely book and I got it at a great price. Full of inspirational ideas for the craft artist with lots of colourful illlustrations.

This is a beautifully presented book full of ideas for any creative person interested in mixed media art, and art journalling
