This little thing is AMAZING!! While I have only used it one time that one time was in our 20' x 48" above ground pool and once it got dark outside it lit up the entire pool. Even when it floated against the edge of the pool. Still lit up the entire pool. We had a swimming pool party for my son's 10th birthday and it was an after dark swimming party. This blue tooth speaker worked perfectly! Easy to pair to my phone, sound was great (even splashed up a little water when the base hit...lol), completely waterproof, and lit up the pool beautifully. It actually exceeded my expectations! We didn't even worry about getting water in it. We just had fun in the pool splashing around like it wasn't even in the pool. Oh, and the battery life was great. We started playing music without the lights at 7 pm and then turned on the lights when it got dark around 9 pm and we turned it off and went inside at 11:30 pm. It was ON the ENTIRE TIME and the battery was still going just fine. I don't know how much longer it would of lasted but 4 and a half hours was plenty long enough for me. My 15 year old daughter loved it as well. She can't wait to have an after dark pool party with her friends now. If you're reading reviews then you are considering buying this..... let me save you some time.... JUST BUY IT! UPDATE one year later: I put this speaker away with the pool stuff last season. When we opened our pool this summer we got this speaker out and used it once. Still love it! However, the second time we went to use it it would not power on. Charge light came on but just wouldn't power on. It was about a week before the one year purchase date so I contacted the company and they were WONDERFUL! Replaced my speaker with a working one! I will not be storing this one for the cold months. Instead I plan on using it in my bathroom.

This product has me on the fence. I really like the fact that you get good sound, but it doesn't take much water movement to cut in and out. Great for lounging. The volume is good for moderate movement, but if kids are playing not so much. We have a 24 round pool. It can be heard decently across the pool and keeps bluetooth connection. The speaker does get muffled, if too much water gets in it. Tipping it upside-down helps drain it and return sound to normal quicker. Lights up which is more fun than for good lighting, unless you are under the water, then it's helpful as it gets darker. Overall, okay, but it depends on your activity. Gave it 4 stars giving the benefit of the doubt they could improve these things.

Perfect for my small 12 foot above ground pool, and great for day or night. Flood lights in FL = BUGS, so the light on the speaker is just what we needed. I looked for a small water-proof speaker as well as small water-proof puck lights to throw in the bottom of the pool. This little bluetooth wonder takes care of both site and sound! The speaker charged quickly and holds is long lasting. Was very easy to pair with my iPhone, has double sound controls (phone and speaker), and you can also answer cell phone calls on the speaker. Haven't tried yet so not sure of how easy it is. Speaker's perfect for small pool / hot tub and it fits in the palm of my hand. I also set it on the patio table while doing yard work. Would be great at beach or inside house as well. Very versatile! Colored top half has water-proof speaker, charging port and other controls. Top of speaker comes in blue, grey, white, green, yellow, and purple (possibly more). If water gets in the speaker holes the sound gets muffled. Just tip it upside down or give a quick blow into the holes pushing the water out and the sound returns to normal. Clear bottom half is the lighted half and has a bevelled pattern on the inside creating pattern on the bottom of the pool. Option: turn the light on or leave off. Light has 8 settings: Slow changing(6 or 7 colors); Red always on; Green always on; Blue always on; Fast Flashing; Slow Flashing; or Flashes to the beat of the song. Sound from this speaker was the one thing I worried about until reading the great reviews. They were 100% right!! Sounds so great on the water. Also has small plastic loops if you want to add a string to tie it to the side of your pool, boat, etc. String not included. LOVE THIS SPEAKER AND WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

At 50% battery it stops working. It will play for a song or two then it’s off. It also makes a random beep noise. It has good quality sound but we hang on our ladder. We don’t let it be in the actual pool because it flips so easily with small movements. Buttons work good. Charges fine. Connects easily. I’ve used it in the bath for my kids. They liked that. But I just hate that it dies at 50%also for a 18ft wide pool , it doesn’t not shine very bright. It has to be completely dark. No sun. Customer service is good tho

There is nothing I dislike about this little dynamite speaker! It's amazing! The sound quality is outstanding! The size is perfect! •The FF & RW buttons being the same as the volume, well, I've seen some folks say it's finicky or doesn't work....a quick push of the button for FF or press and hold the button down for turning the volume up. Same with the RW/volume down. At first I also thought it was not working right, once I toyed with it I realized when I press the FF or RW to use for volume, I had to keep a steady hand/finger. Stay as still as possible while pressing down and (viola!) it should work great... you should see a difference in the volume going up or down without changing the song. •I tried it out while talking on the phone when cooking supper.....another reason to love it!! I could hear over all the noise in my house! •The colors are extremely vibrant at night or with lights out. The whole reason hubby bought this for me was for my candle lit baths. Now along with my music and the flickering of the candles, I have a groovy light show! •As far as charging this....there is no blinking red light, not on mine anyways. But there is a faint red stale light that turns bright blue when the device is fully charged. This is why I gave it 4 stars on Battery Life. •I give this speaker 2 thumbs up...5 stars and an A+! •This speaker is well worth the $35-$40! •Soooooo YES I LOVE THIS LITTLE GADGET....A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR AMAZON FINDS!! I picked this up for our pool obviously. We use it to listen to music, sometimes a baseball game or have connected it to our projector when we had a pool/movie night. It has great sound very easy to connect and use, and o love the light effects and the various options. Its not super loud, but is perfect for pool time

Worked one day… that was it. Tried to get it to work by following their directions and videos but no luck

I was pleasantly surprised by this little speaker! We let it float in the pool and the sounds quality is pretty decent! We don't typically swim when it's dark but have tried floating it at night to see how the lights work. It would be perfect for a smaller pool I think - ours is 22' long and so the lights really only reflect on half of it - but it's still a very cool effect! Battery life is good so far too. Overall I am pleased with this purchase!

It functions ok for the most part if I could get a star rating for connectivity. It only connected to one divide and to nothing else. And it hasn’t connected again it doesn’t pop up long enough to be noticed by phone. Guess this is a pay what you get for kind of deal. Wouldn’t say it’s the best outdoor speaker it’s not the loudest.

I haven't tested this in the hot tub yet as it is a gift to the hot tub owner... The sound quality is impressive! It's not very tinny and I can hear the bass. The light shines like a disco ball. It is also ridiculously easy to set up. The power cord is an AC USB adapter so don't lose it or you're SOL! UPDATE: I have this today as a gift, and I posted the video of then using it. They used it in a hot tub. The lights are very vibrant and the sound is perfect! They've used it a solid 2 hours now and it is still charged and Waterproof.

The sound of the music is great and it notifies you and rings when you have calls coming through the device that’s playing music. Doesn’t light up our pool 21 feet round
