(Why Sony persist on initially releasing hardware with storage unfit for purpose I don’t know but that’s another debate!). Anyway this 2 terabyte hard drive is the solution. Plenty of storage, not too expensive and very simple to use. Plug it in the back switch on the PS5, go to storage in settings, format the drive when requested which takes only a few seconds and transfer all your PS4 games across to the new drive. It gives an option to automatically install PS4 games to this drive. Your internal SSD in the PS5 will then have plenty of space. Games play just as quickly/smoothly from this drive with no noticeable difference. When an appropriate Sony authorised SSD becomes available I will probably upgrade to that as it is not possible to play PS5 games from this drive although they can be stored on it. I’ll then use this drive as a back up storage device for other files.
