A great fountain pen which provides a nice writing experience
Bought the Wordsworth & Black fountain pen with the medium nib in all black. I have used fountain pens for a very long time and this is one of the best that I have used. It comes with 24 ink cartridges, and thankfully they are the standard size of ink cartridge and not a proprietary one like some other brands demand. It also comes with a refill cartridge so you can use ink bottles if you prefer. The pen can hold two of the standard cartridges, like most fountain pens. The one that is currently being used and one in the back of the pen so that unless you know you are going to do a lot of writing you don't need to carry loose cartridges around. Compared to my last fountain pen this is a little heavier but I have gotten used to that extra wright very quickly. It is not overly heavy though. The weight is balanced nicely which allows for an easy writing experience. The ink supplied dries quite quickly and as I have used fountain pens for a while I know how to avoid smudging the ink while it does dry. The pen looks quite simplistic in the all black but I prefer that in a pen. While I say it does look simplistic it also looks professional as a good quality pen shouldn't need to try and impress with looks but by how it actually writes. There are a number of other colours and nib sizes available, but I preferred the look of the black one. I also went with the medium nib as that is the size I usually use.

Quality Fountain Pen!
A stunning, beautifully made Fountain Pen made by Wordsworth. I purchased the Gold & Silver Colour Option with a Medium Nib. Included was a Ink Converter, plus 6 free Ink Cartridges (boxed). The cartridges are very simple to change and use, hassle free and more importantly, mess free! The Medium Nib writes very smoothly, with no drag and no smudging although I do recommend using the correct paper for Fountain pen use due to prevent the ink bleeding. The weight and cap of this pen are beautifully balanced. The box this comes in is also a luxurious, luxury, leather style woth a velvet like interior finish, stamped Wordsworth on lid of the box too & a silk ribbon tab to hold the pen in place whilst inside the box. Considering the cost, this is an excellent high quality pen. I can definitely recommend and is also a perfect gift for any writer :)

Ooo-Wee - Superlative Writer!
My first experience of this make of fountain pen and what a beauty it is! Needed a few passes to get it to write but once it started flowing, it wrote like a dream, nice and juicy. Although I prefer & bought a M nib it is a bit finer than most M nibs but this is not a problem. Looks great, feels good in the hand plus comes with a generous supply of international standard ink cartridges AND a converter. Writes better than some of my f.p.s costing 4x as much. Lovely gift box too. This is a pen every collector should own. Kudos!

Excellent for writing, but not as pretty as expected
I don't usually buy fountain pens but thought I'd give this a go as they are so pretty. It is really lovely to write with, which is obviously the most important in a pen. The ink flow is steady even at quite a fast writing speed and the ink dries fast. It's also permanent and stains fingers easily if you're silly and wipe it off (don't worry, you will probably not be as silly as me!). It seems well made and durable with a well fitting cap that snaps on and stays on. The size is great to hold and it fits well in the hand. On the flip side, the material of the barrel does look and feel cheaper than in the photos. I don't think it's an issue long term as the overall structure is sturdy, but a bit disappointing. The biggest disappointment for me was that the nib that shows as a beautifully engraved silver and gold in the photo is actually a solid gold colour with a fairly simple WB engraved. No impact on the usability, but as the look was what made me choose this particular pen over others, this makes it a 4 instead of 5 for me.

Delightful
Delighted. “You get what you pay for” on both ends of the scale, as a dearer product it’s shows its quality and it’s minor issues are forgivable as it’s not the most expensive. As a first time user the nib was quick to teach me what angle to write in. It is both forgiving and stubborn. It is comfortable and seems to be well made. The nib is beautiful and the shaft has good balance. I’ve found the blue ink to be thicker and the black ink more fluid. Both bleed through standard paper but are quick to dry. As a first time user it had been a joy to work with.

Wordsworth & Black Erudite Fountain Pen.
I received this pens today & I have to say it's the best fountain pen I've had. The ink flowed perfectly with no skipping; it dries very quickly, which is ideal as I've bought this pen to journal. The weight & balance are perfect for me, as I don't like to post the lid. It's a very handsome pen. I think it's a fabulous pen at a fabulous price.

To pen or not to pen.
Good solid writer’s pen. Currently learning Japanese. So using the wides nib. Have to say it’s smart. The pen is quality. It’s comfortable to write with. The thickness of using a broad nib is excellent. Does require a little skill to pull of the Japanese symbols right but wow smart functional pen. My own gripe is when refilling the reusable ink cartridge it’s somewhat difficult to clean the nip properly of all the excess ink. Leaning you to dab it on to a tissue. Recommend gloves too when handling open inkwells. As when that gets on ur skin. It will take a while to get it off. Anyways that my own skill issue. The pen is amazing.

I like the feel and appearance of this fountain pen. Adding the ink is pretty simple and the instructions well presented in the small booklet coming with it. The fine nib writes a bit thicker than I expected, but it is not a deal breaker. Overall this is a very good product.

I remember watching commercials of luxury cars where you see people nicely dressed in glamorous clothes to be ready to experience a night of luxury at its finest. That's how I felt when I picked up this pen. It is an elegant looking pen that's wrapped up in quality packaging that lets you know you are in for an extraordiny writing experience. I purchased Turquoise Gold. I use a Hobonichi planner for my daily writing activities which allows me to journal, schedule, plan, budget, etc. The challenge was finding the right pen for my journaling. It seems like I've gone through so many different pens that didn't seem to accommodate my writing style. I've used a plenty gel pens because the ink is a little darker and the writing is a little smoother. After a while, many of them start to skip when the ink gets below medium level. I felt like the singing U2 song "I Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For!." I then thought of using fountain pens to provide me with a little more flexibility. I never used a fountain pen so this will be a first. I originally purchased a couple of different disposable fountain pens. After writing the first sentence I immediately sent them back for a refund because they started skipping (still havent found what I'm looking for). Then I came across the Wordsworth & Black Collection. I thought, these fountain pens look like a very good quality fountain pens. I was willing to pay the higher price for good quality fountain pen which had good reviews. I then decided to purchase one. If I didn't like it I would return it and move on with my gel pens. When I opened the box and took out the pen, I was so impressed with not only the look of the pen, but the feel and weight of the pen. I felt like I just wanted to get dressed up before writing with this pen ( I was at home working in my pjs). Once I put the ink cartridge in and began to write, my first words I wrote were "Oh My Gosh!" This is truly a high quality luxury pen. I have not ever written with a fine quality fountain pen before but this is a game changer. The writing is very smooth, and it doesnt skip. The ink cartridges are easy to install, and you also have the flexibility of using the Pis Ton Mechanism for bottled ink. The ink doesn't blotch on your paper and allows you to have quite an elegant writing style. I am hoping to purchase some additional pens that I can quickly write with different colors, and looking to purchase the pens without the cartridges. I may have to use this pen to write a song "I Have Finally Found... What I'm Looking For!" Happy Writing!!!
