Great Dive logs. Simple interface. Just a great recreational dive computer watch.
I've used the D5 for 3 dives thus far and I am quite impressed with the quick simple setup and the immediate automatic logging. The Suunto app provides quick access to the logs and offers the ability to add notes, pictures, coordinates, etc.Ideally the watch would have better contrast, but it is not difficult to read.Battety life is okay.Overall, very pleased for my purposes at this price point.

Not as bright as the Teric
Bought this at my local dive shop not on Amazon. This computer seems ok but it doesn't get nearly as bright or as black as the Teric. If you can spend the extra $400 I say buy the Teric instead. This picture is on "very low" brightness. I suggest keeping it on this setting as the battery dies really fast on anything else. Also it doesn't get much brighter, just washed out.Shearwater is coming out with a cheaper alternative to the Teric early January called the Tern. If you can wait I'd buy that instead. It has the same bright AMOLED screen. We're going to the Maldives December 1st so it wasn't an option for us.

Great watch but possibly was used before me
The watch itself is great. But unfortunately although the site says the watches are brand new, there was a scratch on the edge of the watch face AND there were 14 logged dives already on the computer which I apparently cannot erase. They seem to be locked in there. The Suunto customer service rep says that I cannot do a factory reset. I can’t imagine I have too much sensitive information stored on here but now I worry that I am sharing this watch’s data with someone else.So in conclusion: the watch is cool, the company that sold me this watch, sold me a used watch.

Customer service is poor at best.
It's too soon to know if I like the product but the customer service and product information is horrible. I just received my Suunto D5 and Tank Pod (over $1000 purchase). Immediate problems:1 - The registration link does not work. After more than an hour I am unable to register my device and it says without doing so, I have no warranty coverage.2 - It does not come with a user manual. This is complex dive computer and if I want a manual, I have to download a print a 65-page pdf. This is unacceptable for an expensive item.3 - There is no customer support on a weekend. I received my Suunto on Thursday and was looking to getting it set up on Saturday - my day off. I discovered they only offer customer support Mon - Fri and that is only via chat. There is no one to call and they do not provide an email address so I can send my questions and get complete answers back.I will likely return this and purchase one from a company that actually cares about their customers.

Fantastic Product
The dive watch for the Apple Watch generation. Just does everything the way it should, easy and intuitive to use. The desktop software is fantastic.

Over-priced and under supported.
The dive computer, contained in a really good sports watch, works perfectly. The accompanying pod was sent to me with a dead battery. The app doesn't sync for beans, doesn't upload photos properly and won't let you change a thing.Support from Suunto is non-existent.
