Resident Evil 6: Strategy Guide

I buy strategy guide for most games, play the game, and then crack it open to help me go back and find all those secrets I missed the first time. Here are the things I look for in a guide:Well Made: This guide is sturdy and has thick pages that don't tear easily.Clear maps: This guide has pretty clear maps...once you figure out what you are looking at. The game is dark, so sometimes you are looking at the map and thinking, "BUT THERE ISN'T A GREEN HERB THERE!!!" Then you get on top of the item and realize the map is right.Helpful Hints: The guide will let you know the best way to beat a boss or, sometimes, just how to. (If you have played R.E. games you probably have had that experience of running in circles yelling, "How do you kill this thing!?!") There were some hints that I found to be not useful, because the way I did it was easier. For the most part, these hints were great.Interesting facts: This gives you some interesting things to notice or do throughout the game.Side Quest Guides: There aren't a lot of side quests in this game, mainly just achievements. But this guide gives good hints on how to get the achievements and where all those dern Serpent Symbols are.I was very happy with this guide. I like to play it through first and then use the guide. The guide is filled with spoilers and you will know what is coming if you read it before you play. This takes away from the story and the fun for me, but maybe that isn't as important to you. I am a BIG Resident Evil fan and love the coop aspect of the new games.Hope this review is helpful. Have fun and God bless!!!

I may be a little biased as a collector of strategy guides but I do like this book very much! Colorful throughout and sectioned logically. I love the patches! Great bonus for getting the hardcover edition (I always go hardcover). I'm very happy with this purchase. :)

This hard bound book is great. Totally worth it. Without I would have never found about 5 of the serpent emblems because they were either too small and hidden or they were only available with scertain charecters. There's alot of info on awards, levels and game play. This is a must for a Resident Evil gamer.

Great product, contains everything you will ever need to know to be successful at the game, and the hard cover is nice. I personally recommend playing the game all the way through without the book first, because it gives you small insight into other areas of the game. Nothing huge or major but insights none the less.

I'm going to preface this by saying I'm an unabased fan of all things Resident Evil. I bought this guide as more of a collector's item than for actual use. The book is broken up by character with a section for Mercs, weapons, enemies, and trophies/cheevos. All pretty standard stuff.The positives1. The pictures in the book are much brighter than in the actual game with maps pictured next to each area.2. The patches are very nice and detailed though I would have liked a S.T.A.R.S. and Umbella one also.Negatives1. This was listed as having a foil embossed cover when I preordered, but it is not. The bullet point in the description for this is now absent (surprise suprise)2. I haven't played the game yet, but there are only 3 merc maps in this guide. There are 3 different pre-order bonus maps, and NONE of them are in this despite obviously being done at the time of writing. I'm going to be so disappointed if there really are only 3 maps shipping with this.3. The pages have a weird waviness to them like they've been wet. Its humid where I live so this may just be a problem with my guide.There isn't much more to say right now as I haven't played the game. I don't want to read the walkthrough til after my first playthrough so I'll update once finished. I'm giving this 3.5 stars.

I got EXACTLY what I expected !! And I am a picky person ( I admit it ) !! The book was brand new, no surface imperfections and it had that wonderful crackling sound from the bindings that you hear whenever a book is opened for the first time ! Thanks Once again Amazon for not disappointing me ! ( Another in a long line of perfect purchases ! )

I have always loved the resident evil games so I got the guide for resident evil 6.It was a good guide.

Awesome book filled with great art, and an in depth look into Resident Evil 6. This is a must have for the die hard RE fan.
