Love the old-time art!! Worlds onto themselves.

Gennady Spirin has won so many awards for his illustrations. This book is packed with pictures with the precision, detail and colors he is famous for. Of course we like the tale, too. But the pictures make the book. If you like Spirin you must add this to your children's library. His books are one reason e-books will never replace those that can be held and marveled at.

The edition that I was sent was illustrated by Kimberly Root. Not what was shown. The pictures were very bland.
