Flavourful and healthy
I love this roasted dandelion root for the ease of brewing and the full flavour. Only a small amount is needed, and can be brewed in a cafetière, drip filter or stirred in to a mug. Blend with coffee, or replace coffee with the delicious roasted root. Sometimes I like to add it to other teas to give them a more intense or balanced taste, and it's terrific on its own hot or cold. One of my favourite ways to make this is with some steamed oat milk (I make my own with dates). It's a good treat with health benefits.

delicious! and easy to use
This stuff is packed with flavor, and the granule size makes for easy extraction of the root's good properties. I use it as an evening beverage: roasted dandy root decoction with soymilk. Thank you Frontier for consistently good quality.

Happy to find this!
This is really tasty mixed half and half with roasted chicory root as a coffee substitute (especially with added cream). As a long time java junkie, finding anything to substitute for my rich brown morning beverage has been difficult. This really helps a lot. Just don't brew it too long. Tastes best when used like coffee, through a cone filter, or a French press, as long as you are going to drink the beverage soon and not let it sit in the pot too long. It tastes increasingly yucky the longer it steeps. But brewed fresh, it works well, and is nourishing. I don't need the same quantity as coffee either, can use less of this, which is nice as it is pricier than java.

Perfect no-caf substitute
Dandelion granules, where you have been all my life? This tastes so close to coffee, I expect the buzz, then burn and wince I get when I drink even decaf. None of that. Pleasantly surprised it doesn’t suck. A great way to rekindle my love of lattes. Will definitely reorder.

Great for roasted dandelion tea!
I use this several times a week as a hot tea. Dandelion root is very helpful to the liver. It is also good for indigestion. Dandelion stimulates bile production by the liver. Boil a cup of water, turn it off, add about a half teaspoon of roasted dandelion root, cover and wait 10 minutes. Strain. I add a small amount of honey. Some people use this in place of coffee. Adding an equal amount of roasted chicory root would also be good for a coffee substitute. Really, get off coffee, … it is not good for the body!

Odd taste.
I had tried roasted dandelion root previously and enjoyed it. I believe it was Traditional Medicinals brand that comes in tea bags. So I went all in and bought a pound of it. Out of the package I really didn't care for the flavor. I figured out a heaping 1/4 teaspoon is enough for an 8 oz mug, but even then it was just OK. So I experimented a little bit, starting by grinding up the root more finely with a coffee grinder, then roasting it further in the oven. That actually improved the flavor a bit. Still not as good as the other brand, but cheaper.
