Perfect size and value for your money
I inherited my grandmother’s wash pan when I was a young bride, but it was never used for anything but food, I.e. canning, food preparation etc. Almost 50 years later it has been banged up from use, moves and just life in general. This is an identical replica of my go to pan for preparing holiday meals when all of our kids ‘come home’ with our grandchildren and their spouses and my house is filled with the sound of family. In the years to come, I will be able to pass it along to a new bride in my family to carry on the tradition. It is of excellent quality and should last another 50 years.

Satisfaction gauranteed, then some.
My original order for two of these pans came in on time, and the price on them was quite good. Upon arrival, I noticed that one of them had been damaged. In a number of placed along the rim, the enamel had broken and ablated off. This did not look like a product defect, but rather a result of poor handling at some point. I submitted for a replacement and contacted the manufacturer/dealer about the issue. Not only did they ship me a brand new one (which by the way is undamaged as expected), but they also gave me a nominal refund, which was unexpected and very much appreciated. I did have to wait a bit longer to have both functional units, but I am giving them 5 stars across the board as their customer service is outsanding (something growing increasingly rare these days) and the quality of their product is superb, and just what I was looking for.Just to compare, my wife dropped one of the units on our wooden floor, and nothing happened, so these are not that fragile. Whatever happened to cause the damage to the first one had to be more significant than just an incidental drop or impact. I certainly would not fault the integrity of the product itself. Being up here in Alaska, it is highly likely something may have happened in shipping that would not normally occur. In any case, I am quite satisfied with my purchase.

Just thought to share..
This is an old-fashioned dishpan. One like your grandma and great-Grandma used to wash dishes in a huge kitchen sink. It is large, sturdy, I use mine for every big bowl job I have in my kitchen. It looks cool on the table at Thanksgiving with a linen cloth draped over it's edges and full of fruit or yeast rolls. However, it does have flaws. The enamel dip, if that's what is coating it, is thin. It had trash in the finish that was baked under the coating. If it chips off there will be a hole to the core. The finish is uneven and the pretty little red line is broken in several places by a rough handler during it's creation. As a consequence, I feel the cost is a bit pricey, by about $20. But I needed a large bowl to make the bread I sell and this is a huge pan. I can make bread start to finish and only need to clean the plastic sheet I roll out on, and this pan. If you ask, "Would you buy it again?" I will look around harder for my second pan, but I will most likely be looking for the same kind of pan.

Aftermarket uses
This is huge and I love it! I actually got it as a dog bowl for my dogs…I have 23 and 11 toy sized. It holds a ton of water so I don’t have to refill it constantly and it’s short enough that the smallest dog can reach over the side to drink. I’m thinking about another to hold fruits and veggies for canning. It’s not heavy so that helps when filling it and carrying it from the sink.

Enamel dish pan
I ordered 2 pans, one was in perfect condition but the other one was chipped pretty bad so I returned the chipped one for a replacement and received another one in perfect condition. The reason for 4 stars is because one pan I’m sure was damaged before it was shipped, some people might accept it but for my use I needed pans without chipped enamel.

Beautiful!
I'm very pleased with this basin. It is well made and arrived in excellent condition. It is versatile and the perfect size for my purposes. I miss the days when one could find quality products like this at any home goods store.

There are real problems with the manufacturer; look elsewhere for what you need
I actually never had opportunity to clean the thing. I gave it 3 stars, because I presume it is ordinarily washable. I would give it 0 stars for sturdiness if given the opportunity, because it was damaged when I received it. Perhaps that says enough regarding the 1 star for Value for money. The description informed of cautious work in producing these to have a nice finish, and I liked the appearance in the pictures in the ad. I recalled one individual putting up a review, though, with photos demonstrating several rather large faults in the finish, but he was the only one I saw, so I presumed he had just had bad luck and probably returned it. I order it (only shortly thereafter to realize I really had no use for it) and receive it to find it had two of the very same sorts of faults in the finish.I tried to set up a return, regarding which Amazon is generally excellent, but it turned out this was a third party seller, and they didn't appear to have too much concern about the quality of their product. I complained that they had made a big deal in their ad on Amazon about the work on this beautiful finish, but that mine had been damaged and there were two rather large areas that were just black metal appearance, without any decorative finish. The response? I could return it if I paid return postage, and then it would be a matter of them taking a look and deciding whether it was a problem worthy of giving me a refund! If I remember correctly, he even brought up question as to whether I had damaged it myself, but again, it looked just like what this other fellow had put up pictures of, and I found it like that the instance I opened the box.Unfortunately, although I had intended to call Amazon proper and discuss the situation to seek a fairer response, before I had a chance to do it, I ended up in the hospital for two months. Of all things, since I have been back home, I've been unable to find the thing--not that I've gone hunting for it. Again, I came to realize shortly after the order that I didn't need it, and I didn't want to use it as it was for anything, but the waste of money is a shame. I recommend staying away from this merchant. At least two of us have received badly damaged product, and the manufacturer (or seller, as the case may be) is a worm, in terms of dealing fairly with customers.
