I opened the pillow cover and found a large number of what appears to be bed bugs crawling under the outer cover. If this was in between the 2 covers, I can't imagine what is on the inside. I closed it and put it outside immediately. I asked to return the item but at this point I don't think it's safe to send in the mail with the number of bugs I saw in there. This may have been a good pillow had I used it but now I'm hesitant to even try a new one from the same company.

 I ordered this despite some reviews saying the cushion had brown bugs. Should have trusted my gut and these reviews and not bought it. Soon as I got it I opened it up just to check that it didn't have a bug issue--and what do you know, it had bugs.

Loved it, for a few days, until I removed some of the hulls to make it more comfortable and discovered it was teeming with bugs. So...yea. Not a fan. Good luck. Hope yours is bug free.Update: the seller quickly offered me a refund and sent me some guided meditations for my trouble. Thanks for making it right Seat of Your Soul.

 Mine came with a free bug infestation... Is this normal for buckwheat?

Both pillows came contaminated with bugs. These are not bed bugs but some kind of a tiny beetle.It took about 7 days for them to proliferate. We had to throw away the pillows.

I ordered the product for same day delivery yesterday 07/22/2017. I saw every review was pretty much glowing, so I bought it right away. After my purchase I noticed a review which was published that day, the top review, saying his cushion came with an insect infestation. I hoped that was just a one off case, related to certain colors. I was wrong. His was navy, mine was black, both came with insect infestations. The bugs are small, reddish brown, like mini, thin cockroaches, tons of them, burrowed among the buckwheat. At least they don't seem super aggressive or move very fast. They are living in the buckwheat, but don't seem to be able to get through the outer covering. I will be returning asap, but don't even know where to store this infestation before it gets returned. I don't want the bugs breaking out and infesting my house. It's a shame, the cushion was decent.

It was infested with insects! I did not need to open the cushion, since I opened the box all the bag where the cushion came was all with insects! Dont buy it! Dont waste your money!

I was very hesitant to buy this product because it seems there was a bad batch of buckwheat that was infected with bugs a year or so ago.When I received this I kept it outside and monitored it for a week and there were no bugs. I've check a few times since brining it inside and there have been no bugs at all.Pros:-low price-high quality fabric-cotton divider for the buckwheat and outside portion making cleaning easy-no bugs!-I can't speak for what your experience will be, as all bodies are different. I use this with either a zabuton or some towels and always feel super comfy on it. The crescent shape seems to be ideal for me, as it allows more room for the legs.
