The wood pieces on the ends are strong and solid, the fabric is durable, well stitched, the ropes are strong and well made. This will last many years. The pillow it comes with is very comfy and the padded hammock is also quite comfortable. You can't go wrong with this purchase. It looks classy, comfortable, well made. However wish I had purchased an open mesh instead. Yesterday at 5:00 pm it rained for about thirty minutes fairly hard. Today, at 2:00 pm, 21 hours later with the average temperature at 85F with a high of 99, it is still not dry enough to use. Fast drying it is not. This time of year it rains every afternoon here, so being able to use it dry is going to be difficult.Edit: not changing the rating it is a good hammock, however, after the thirty minute hard rain mentioned above, it took forty-two hours to fully dry so I could use it again.
