Very quiet, small footprint, does the trick !
Like many of my musician brothers & sisters, I have a bit of money invested in my pedalboard - Darkglass, Aguilar, BBE, Line 6, Korg, etc. When I started purchasing the more expensive Darkglass stuff I still had a cheap power unit. Oddly enough it worked pretty quietly with the LEDs on versus off. I used my pedals live, but as of late, quite a bit in my home studio and bands' studios.I'd gone to NAMM 2019 and noticed these power units used on the Darkglass pedalboards at the Darkglass booth. Even prior to that, I'd been kicking myself a little for having over $1000 in pedals powered by a $20 unit. When I received the MXR unit, I plugged in with the old power supply and played. It didn't seem to have much noise. However, when I plugged my pedals into the MXR until, I COULD TELL the difference. Even though I heard no sound on the original unit, the MXR did seem more quiet. After testing a bit more - yes, there was a slight, slight background to the cheap unit - more so, questionable power through pedals.I feel MUCH better having my pedals on an MXR unit - granted, it IS made in China, just like the cheap one I was using, but I still feel better with my money in pedals powered by a name as solid as MXR.

It's nice
It's small and thin, the size of a regular pedal but a bit thinner. Powers 8 pedals. Haven't noticed any excessive noise or any issues. Works well for my small board. Quality feels nice and solid. One thing to note is that it uses an external power adaptor (comes with it), which is 18v and similar size as regular 9v pedal power adaptors. Another thing is that 9v cables are all angled only on one side, on my board layout I'd prefer if they were angled on both sides.

Very sleek design; looks cool.
Works great. On startup shows red briefly to display power surge on startup, then quickly to blue to show 'on' status. Plenty of current for multiple pedals. Lots of cables provided and small enough to fit on top of pedal board. Not noisey at all, which I was concerned about. Very happy.

Awesome power supply awesome quality
Immediately noticed when using this there is no noise so I'm as happy as can be with it. I probably won't use the 18v but it's very nice to have it if I do want or need to use it at some point. overall great investment for your pedals. Also love that the unit is small so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

THE FIRST PEDAL YOU SHOULD BUY.
If you are starting out building a pedal board and wondering what pedal you should buy first, this is it.No, really, BUY THIS FIRST! This should be your first pedal. Listen... When I was a boy I used a string of wall warts mounted in a surge protector velcro'd under my home made pallet wood pedal board and it was the most hideous thing you ever saw or heard... And now decades later we have power supply's that can literally fit in the palm of our hands, or shirt pockets!Pedal power supply's have come a long way since then and the kids these day's don't know how good they got it. So take some wisdom from an old timer kids, do this first, invest in a solid power supply before anything else, then get a good tuner, then start adding your pedals, and use soldered cables, do not do it backwards. You will save yourself a lot of time and money with a good power supply, it will literally pay for itself over time. The MXR DC Brick or ISO Brick are good starting points for any aspiring musician to build their legacy upon. Now go forth and rock! \m/

Cleaned up my pedalboard nicely!
Awesome product. I 3D printed a bracket to mount it under my pedaltrain board and it cleaned everything up beautifully!

With great power comes great rock-ability
Love this power supply - works with all my Boss pedals and MXR pedals so far. Well worth the investment, and a much better price than some of the other ones out there. The actual box is small enough to fit on a board (although the power supply box is quite big to plug in). Only thing this doesn't have is a variety of cord sizes (meaning the plug end, not the length) - this package comes with a bunch of cords that fit Boss & MXR pedals no problem, but I have some bigger pedals (Line 6 & Digitech Whammy) that have a larger plug input, so I'll need to search for a special pack of cords to fit those probably? Otherwise, very good investment!
