Love the lights. Love that there's a remote. love that you can dim set...BUT...not sure my remote is working properly. I set to red and they don't come on automatically..so I don't know if they go off at the specified time. I have to physically turn them on with remote each evening. When I go to bed, they're still on, but I don't know if they're going off after 6 hours...If I recall, red is 6 hours on, then they go off for 18 hours. Also, the adapter is made with very cheap plastic. Doesn't look like it'll last a year. We'll see. If you don't mind turning them on with remote each night, then I would say buy them. They really are nice..If the adapter falls apart, I'll have to change my review to 3 stars...but I REALLY wanted to give them a 5

I originally purchased these lights, in particular, due to their "true," "warm" colors. It seems like every single other light on Amazon is either too artificial looking, too intense, or the blues are not true blues. A lot of other lights have that newer violet, which WOULD be perfectly fine, except the blues are also a bit on the violet side - so there is not enough of a difference between the two, and it ends up looking way to "ultraviolet." These didn't have that problem - the blue is fantastic.HOWEVER, much to my disappointment, the YELLOWS are terrible looking. They are so pale that they are practically white, and some of them actually are... They did a great job on the blue; the red could be brighter, but it is a true red; and the green is pretty good, but is also a bit pale - just not nearly as bad as the yellow. And what frustrates me is that in the pictures that are provided on the item page, they show the yellow to be totally false. Lies. The yellows are nowhere remotely close to that nice, soft, rich, almost orange'ish (the more orange, the better, imo) yellow they show above.With that said, other than the yellow being almost white, the lights would be really good lights. The wire is easy to work with (easier than you'd think, since it is very thin); the different settings are actually pretty awesome, and I don't normally like most of the different modes that you see in typical lights; and like I said, the other 3 colors are right on the money. I figured I'd leave my other set of lights up there to have options, and I'm glad I did. I can turn the other ones on solid yellow/orange, and overall, everything looks really nice. Except now I have to have basically a 4:1 ratio of yellow to the other 3 colors... This is why the 3 stars: great lights, but a) false advertising, and b) extremely pale yellow, which without any other set of lights to supplement these, they are very underwhelming w/out that 4th color. I.e., when I first turned them on, it looked like there were basically only 3 colors.I provided 2 pictures to show how they look, and what I mean about the yellow. Because of my camera, they actually look more yellow in the pics than they do in real life - I swear. Remember that, in the pictures, I have another strand of lights up there, and those are the ones that look much more "golden." On these lights, the "yellow" is always directly to the right of the blue, and you can see the difference. Just look for the white, lol.

Decorated my bedroom window. love them. The remote is very handy as I can dim them or turn them off without having to get out of bed.

Just got this item 3 days ago. Worked my butt off decorating the tree and enjoyed the beautiful lights for two whole days until this evening. I turned on the lights and went to make dinner. Ten minutes later the tree was dark. I reached for the plug to make sure it was plugged it and it was but super hot. I removed it from the wall, plugged it back in and watched. Within 1 minutes the lights shut off and I could smell the burning electronics from the USB plug that came with the lights. Very scary. Now the whole strand is unusable.***Update* After contacting customer service about the issue, they sent two new sets to replace the defective one. These sets were perfect and show no signs of wire crimping. They were very prompt and worked hard to make me happy. Impressed by their dedication to correcting a problem and that's nice in this day and age of companies ignoring their customers. Hoping to get many years of use out of these lights.

Had an Eiffel tower that I wanted to drop with delicate lights. Replaced clear Christmas lights with these - much better! Lit Eiffel tower is lovely at night!
