Soft and snuggly. These pants do run large and being 100% cotton they shrink considerably. With that in mind I bought the extra large and put them through the washer and dryer and they shrunk considerable. I am a large and bought the extra large and they shrunk to fit me. So if you don't want them to fit you might want to wash in cold and let them hang dry. That said I love all three pairs I bought.
